Normie liberal NPCs are feeling the worst case of cognitive dissonance ever. They always support the Current Thing and love to post about it on social media. The Trump assassination attempt is the biggest Current Thing in decades—yet normie libs are radio silent about it. Because they don't know what to “support.”
Saying something positive about Trump gets them canceled from the Left, and saying something negative about Trump gets them canceled from the Right. This last part is key: the center-right has grown enough so that they have the power to cancel the far-left. Most normie libs are not like Destiny and the Home Depot lady—they don't want to say something negative about a man who was nearly killed. But they've been programmed to hate Trump for almost a decade. Hence the cognitive dissonance.
Kyle Gass from Tenacious D is a perfect example. I don't know much about his politics, but I assume he is a typical Hollywood libtard, not some far-left Marxist. Normie libs had been living in a world the past decade where it was perfectly acceptable to flippantly joke about Trump and his supporters in the harshest way possible, say the most offensive things imaginable with zero repercussions. Republicans, conservatives, and especially Trump supporters were fair game, viewed as subhuman racist/sexist/fascist garbage. Normie center-left libs only feared the far-left, so they constantly virtue-signaled toward them. But on 7/13 that dynamic flipped on a dime. The normie libs are realizing that is no longer the case. Those on the right are human and have social capital—they can cancel too now.
The center-right has grown thanks to the Pay Pal Mafia moving Silicon Valley toward a more positive view of Trump, which was previously forbidden in polite society. This political vibe shift will move normie libs (like Jack Black) toward the center-left, joining the normies on the center-right in a newly emerging sane center. The far-left (like Destiny) will rightfully be seen as insane and as having gone too far (along with the far-right, though their size and threat has been vastly overstated).
Normie libs are realizing the hyperbole about Trump went too far. They want to temper back toward the center, but they are still terrified of the far-left. Jack Black has provided a model for denouncing the far-left without being canceled by the mainstream center-left. Which is why we should accept Jack Black's apology—but perhaps let Kyle Gass feel some negative accountability for his despicable words. The far-left is probably hopeless anyway, but they must be canceled. Not for their sake, but for the center-left's sake—to give them the freedom to actually be center-left, as opposed to pretending to be far-left (because that was the safest thing to do to avoid cancelation).
If the center-right continues to cancel the far-left psychos who openly wish Trump dead, that will give the center-left the freedom to move right, toward the center. Culture has been begging for years to move back to the right, and now normie libs finally have permission to. This is the coming vibe shift in America. And the vibes of America spread to the rest of the world. Cue Ron Paul meme: “IT’S HAPPENING!!!”
