We finally had a snow fall with enough snow to be photographed. It looks like we had 16 inches. There is a good stack of snow on the bird bath. I measured snow on the ground and it was 16". The fence is 7' tall. The snow pile is about 6' tall.

Now for the post:

I saw that parler.com is back online. Parler is a twitter clone. The site invites people to make short form posts with links to longer posts.

The site is likely to be popular with people who are shadow-banned on Twitter. This would include conservatives and independents.

I consider myself to be a classical liberal. I need to repeat my definition of classical liberal.

The US founders had a LIBERAL ARTS education based on classical logic and Christian ethics. They fought a Revolutionary War to LIBERATE the colonies from the crown. The US Founders then applied their LIBERAL ARTS education to the question of LIBERTY and created a constitutionally limited government with a relatively free people.

The US Founders were liberals. Today we would call the lot classical liberals.

There was a reactionary movement after the US Revolution. The reactionary movement sought to restore the monarchy by redefining the term "liberal."

The reactionaries created a new system of logic based on the ramblings of Kant and Hegel. Some call this new form of thought "modern logic." Others call it "new think."

New Think uses paradoxes to turn terms into their opposite. Advocates of new think created a new definition of liberal which sees freedom as slavery and slavery freedom. Modern Liberalism is pretty much the opposite of classical liberalism.

The reactionaries created two competing ideologies which we know today as progressivism and conservatism.

There is a strong argument that the left/right split occurred during the French Revolution. The faction behind Robespierre formed the basis of Progressivism. The faction behind Napoleon Bonaparte formed the basis of Conservatism.

Yes, the ideology called "conservatism" came from the French Revolution ... not the American Revolution.

The conservative ideology was codified in the 1830s when King William IV (The youngest son of King George III) appointed Sir Robert Peele to rebrand the Tory party in the wake of electoral reforms of the 1830s.

Those who took American History in middle school might recall that King George III was the monarch that inspired the revolution. The Tories were the people who leveled their muskets at the US Founders during the Revolution.

Members of the Conservative Party still call themselves Tories.

Conservatism was not created by the US Founders. Conservatism was created by the people who fought against the founders during the revolutionary war.

The conservative movement was not designed to conserve liberty. Conservatism was created by the enemies of the US Founders with the goal of conserving the social structure of the monarchy.

Conservatives (like Bush, Romney and even Trump) fail to adequately promote liberty because the conservative movement was designed to undermine liberty.

Conservatives should read their own history before denouncing the ignorance of others.

Conservatives use free market rhetoric, but consistently fail to promote liberty because the goal of the movement is to promote economic an political centralization.

Modern logic was designed to turn arguments upside down.

IMHO, the best way to undo the damages of modern logic is to research history and expose the hypocritical nature of the practitioners of new think.

Now for the Invitation

Parler.com is attracting people who are frustrated with the current state of affairs. Parler.com is designed for short for posts.

PeakD.com is designed for long firm posts.

In this age of cancel culture, bloggers should use multiple platform. Parler.com and PeakD.com are a good combination that enhance each other.

Peakd.com is a social media platform built on the HIVE blockchain. The platform rewards posts with a cryptocurrency called HIVE. You can earn cryptocurrency while you blog.

Peakd.com is actually one of many interfaces to the HIVE blockchain.

NOTE: The name "HIVE" is a paradoxical. Despite the fact that "hive" is usually associated with collectivism, most of the participants on the platform favor decentralization.

Anyway, If you are on Parler (or twitter for that matter) send me a private message with your email and I will send you a link to create a free HIVE account. I will also give any accounts a HIVE delegation; so that they can start using the platform.
