Over the years, and especially during these lean times of bear markets where most crypto and tokens, including Hive, are crawling and dragging themselves along the ground amidst despair and oblivion. I've noticed that quite a lot of people on Hive keep expressing, stating, saying and affirming that they're not on Hive for the money they could earn, but for the community, the friendships and the human relationships they can generate, cultivate and treasure. And today we're going to find out if that's true.

For which, to determine this, I came up with the idea of creating and developing a brief questionnaire and a small survey or poll in this post, just to show you and make you realize that none of you are as altruistic as you think you are. Are you willing to participate in the poll and discover the real truth? ¿Yes? Okay, then start answering the questions...

Let's imagine for a moment, and let's say, that you are a coder, a programmer and a developer of tools, utils, dApps, games and whatevah web3 stuff for the Hive blockchain or any other chain. And then, all the sudden, you start to observe and pay more attention to the population, communities, little tribes and individuals that live there.
Suddenly, you find yourself observing closely and carefully analyzing their behavior, their customs, their ways of relating and interacting with each other. The type of content & stuff they generate and how it is welcomed, consumed, appreciated, and rewarded with feedback, comments and general interaction by their peers. Yeah, all of that beyond the monetary rewards that each of them might obtain as a result of such interaction.
So if, hypothetically, you were one of those programmers, developers and creators of tools, utils, dApps, games and whatevah web3 stuff for a "social network" on the blockchain. Strictly speaking, you exclusively would do that in such environment only if...
If you do see, perceive, and sense that you can generate and earn some serious money with the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations?
If you do see, perceive, and sense that you as a developer could get a lot of prestige, acknowledgments, praise and accolades with the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations?
If you do see, perceive, and sense the possibility that you will gain potential new friends worldwide, lasting relationships and an awesome place to be with the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations?
If you do see, perceive, and sense how much you could learn from the many different cultures that will interact with your dApps & stuff through the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations?
If you do see, perceive, and sense that you have finally found a place to ease your loneliness by sharing your feelings, ideas and aspirations with other beings who seemingly share your same interests and way of being as you through the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations?
If you do see, perceive, and sense that you are capable to obtain each and every one of the things described and listed in the five options above through the time, effort, and creativity you will dedicate to that ecosystem with your creations, but only as long as you are earning money as to support yourself and think in stay there?

Alright! now pick just one of the six options above and let us know in the comments section of this post which one it was and why. If you answer honestly and with complete sincerity, in my opinion you are very likely to be more surprised than you thought when you discover how altruistic you really are. Because even inside your own head, not everything is always what it seems. ¡We'll all be waiting for your frank & honest answer!

To give an honest breakdown, it's not 100% any single one of those six positions.
For me, the breakdown would be something like this:
#3: 40%
#5: 25%
#2: 20%
#1% 15%
I came to Hive with the idea I'd post, earn and use the earnings to buy some extra gold and silver. Over time I made a lot of friends, participated in multiple international silver and gold Secret Santa exchanges, got involved with multiple projects and enjoy the content that's a refreshing break from the click/rage-bait posts on social media.

Yeah, your answer is a very good and reasonable one. Because, indeed, choosing only one of the six doesn't seem entirely feasible. :)
However, the problem I see is that, unlike you, I don't see many people here who can demonstrate with concrete facts that what they say they do or want to do corresponds much with what they ultimately end up doing. Therefore, if they want to be completely honest and sincere when answering, they'll have no choice but to choose only one of the six options 100%.
Thanks. I tried to keep it practical and honest. While I think many are here for the rewards, which is perfectly fine if they're honest about it, I do believe there are some who also just enjoy sharing what they've created, interacting with others and building something.
