Its nearly the end of May and finally we are getting some nice weather. +22'C is a hot day for a Canadian like me, looking forward to the cooler evening breeze when the day is done.

I see some rain clouds 🌦 in the distance, providing some nice shade where I am right now. I stopped for a Barqs Slurpee. While I have been anti-plastic after last years research and detox, these paper straws are absolutely intolerable for slurpees. Luckily I found a spare plastic straw I kept in my bag just for an occasion such as this.

Using my soap and water spray bottle I thoroughly washed the plastic straw out, so now I can enjoy my Barqs ice beverage to chill my insides. I've also been dicing cucumbers and cantaloupe weekly as an alternative to eating candy and chips. I took a cellular health test at the end of December, and a follow up test in April with the results complete last week.

Some markers have improved, others not as much. Its good to have the baseline to compare the follow up with, and while I am a bit disappointed that there is still room for improvement, I processed my order and will resume taking the remedy. If I dont keep following through then minor improvements won't compound into major results.

So I continue working and taking my medicine, reducing my impulse expenses and try to exercise more. Big changes don't happen immediately, they take time and persistence and commitment to the choices I previously made. Can I stay accountable to myself?

I may do the plastic detox again in August. I do yearly bloodwork usually in late September. I'll take my cell test again in November or December, and hopefully will reach that optimal level.

I've been very interested in the longevity research that is taking place, some even think we may be able to roll the clock back, and others suggest even death might be prevented in my lifetime. The trick will be, living long enough, and actually doing the right things. I've never liked the "I'll just die at 30" nihilism mindset everyone has had all my life.

Gotta get some of those red bulbs and finally break my social media addiction down. I've been making good steps forward though, and I'm going to keep going.
