"Steem Will Replace Bitcoin" - Predictions That Missed the Mark

in #proofofbrain3 years ago

Here the prediction of Steem:

@jerrybanfield made this prediction back in 2018. I kind of stumbled on this prediction when searching bitcoin.

I don't think we should blame Jerry. We all get excited sometimes.

We were predicted to have been in an ice age starting twenty years ago according to an article by The Washington Post by 20211. Apparently the arctic ice caps were growing1 and then turned around only to turn around again in 1996 and start growing again.2.

I just want to remind all of you that predictions often don't come true. We need to be part of change in the present in order to make the future we want to see.

This is great

Stll I do partly blame Jerry for literally screwing around with Steem. Not only Jerry but each person had their part in making that place stumble.

This brings us to the present. Very few if any really know what is going on in any field whether technology, media, economics, geoscience, astronomy or political affairs.

Human beings have a tendency to use the little they know about one field of study to get what they need to be comfortable for a while. This is what screws us up in the end.

Little people...

Why destroy when you can create?

We can have it all or we can smash it all.

Definitely the best monologue of President Jack Nicholson in that movie Mars attack. The rest of the movie isn't worth watching.

Jerry for literally screwing around with Steem

What does that mean? Was he doing porn for Steem?

Yes. On Steemit

And so now we know why the Steem Dollar has such a high value. (kidding)

It's because Justin pumps it.

Predictions do come true when backed by some solid fundamentals. This was, I understand, was lame.

I do believe we will see a punctuated rise of the Bitcoin to USD price overtime but not necessarily at the rate we have been seeing over the last ten years.
