New Steemit Competitor Publish0x has Serious Potential & is Easy to Use

As the value of STEEM has crashed over the past year, a lot of us bloggers have realized it is a good idea to diversify where we blog. Not to mention, despite Steemit's unmatched community and sheer volume of content, it's always advantageous to be able to post material on other sites as well. This helps prevent censorship, and serves as a sort of backup if for some reason one site has technical issues.

One competitor called Publish0x has recently sprung up, and after writing for a few weeks on there, I have to say it has great potential. In a follow-up I'll compare Steemit and Publish0x more fully, but a few major advantages stand out as soon as you start using the site. First, payouts happen as soon as an upvote is cast, and came in the form of several established cryptocurrencies (DAI, a stablecoin that is always worth almost exactly $1, HYDRO, Basic Attention Token, and Bounty0x). Wallets are included on the site, and currencies from those wallets can be sent once a week to other wallets). In addition, payment is simply better at the entry level. Steemit has a greater upper potential for earning right now, but Publish0x is better when you are starting. Nobody is earning $50+ per post on Publish0x, but there is also almost nobody earning less than a few cents. On average I have probably earned $1, and there are no upvote bots attached to that. My highest is a bit over $2.25. Keep in mind, it took me months to have an article do that well on Steemit. It took a couple weeks on Publish0x, and as the site grows, so does earning potential.

On the subject of upvotes, did I also mention that you get paid to upvote posts? And I don't mean the barely noticeable curation reward on Steemit, I mean there have been times when I made five or six cents from pressing an upvote button! Everybody has the same value of upvotes, and you are limited to six per day so you can't just get rich off of upvotes. The upvotes are paid for by Publish0x, so you lose nothing by upvoting.

There is also no waiting period for account approval, and there is only a short waiting period to get approved to be an author. For me it took around six hours to hear back and get approved. The site has a crypto focus, but many other types of authors are now welcome. As a political writer I had no trouble getting approved.

The cherry on top is that you can repost things you have written on Steemit and make more money off of them! Did I mention that you can keep earning on the articles forever, instead of just seven days? Publish0x right now has a much better potential for a truly passive income from older articles. So if you have written on Steemit, there is really no reason not to go over and join Publish0x. You can sign up here:

When it comes to the actual writing, it's very easy to understand how the site works. It's similar to Medium, but with strong protections for free speech, and the ability to earn similar to Steemit. Check it out!

Definitely worth checking out.

I wonder how they prevent people gaming the upvote system.

If what you mean is people having multiple accounts to just upvote themselves, they say they have some protection to prevent that, although I'm not sure what it is.
