The series is based on the grief generated in the marriage between Sean and Dorothy Turner due to the loss of their newborn son in an accident. At the end of the first episode, something happens that definitely makes you want to keep watching the rest of the episodes. When I started watching Servant, I had low expectations, the first episode seemed to develop without anything special, but little by little it grabs you until you want to keep watching to see what other twisted turn is going to appear. This is a very well elaborated psychological horror with touches of humor included, that deals with how grief is processed within a family in the most unprecedented ways.
Al final del primer capítulo, ocurre algo que hace que definitivamente quieras seguir viendo el resto de los capítulos. Cuando empecé a ver Servant, tenía bajas expectativas, el primer episodio parecía desarrollarse sin nada especial, pero poco a poco te va atrapando hasta que quieres seguir viendo que otro giro retorcido va a aparecer. Se trata de un terror psicológico muy bien elaborado con toques de humor incluido, que aborda cómo el duelo es procesado dentro de una familia de las formas más inéditas.
La primera temporada me pareció excelente desde el punto de vista argumental y bien estructurada, mientras que la segunda es más intensa y dramática con altos y bajos emocionales pero sin dejar de lado el suspenso y la expectativa. En lo particular me gustó más la primera.

Leanne, cuyo papel por cierto lo interpreta Nell Tiger Free (Myrcella Baratheon en Game of Thrones), es seguramente el personaje más misterioso de la serie. Ella es la niñera de Jericho, y no solo se toma en serio la tarea de cuidar al muñeco, sino que le da el mismo trato que un bebé real. Es además una chica religiosa que viene de una zona rural, y su comportamiento en seguida levanta sospechas de Sean y el hermano de Dorothy, Julian.

The Servant Series is in my top ten favorites, I've seen almost all of M. Night Shyamalan's movies.
