Trading NFT Cards

Screenshot_1.png

The reasoning behind starting this venture into a shop of sorts into a shop is value for the customer. Finding a way to provide additional value to the purchase of an NFT card. Currently this is only available with Rising Star Game Cards. The option to add other game cards or other types of collectables is within the framework.

With a bit of time. I hope to be able to have this process automated. I would like to see the shop operate from it's own website and communicate through JSon with the blockchain. Any coder wanting to help with this is appreciated. To begin though, it will need to be done manually. Tag "@thehive" in a comment to a post or contact "thehive" in Discord https://discord.gg/vp8hN5R. This is currently the only way available to facilitate the sale of cards.

Many people play these games and collect these cards with the possibility of they might be able to trade later and gain a small profit from their investment. The ambition is to offer additional value to the investment to NFT cards or other collectables.

There will be a minimum price set for a sale of 50 HIVE.

How It Works

Each card is given a sale price Minimum 50 HIVE. 60% of the purchase cost will be sent to a unique account on the Hive chain and linked to each individual card.

A card costing 50 HIVE, would have 30 HIVE sent to a unique account. This HIVE would be held in the account until a time that the owner of the card may choose to redeem the card with the shop. The card does not have to be redeemed back to the shop It may be sold on the open market. The purchaser of a card has no obligation to return the card to the shop. Once purchased the card is the property of the purchaser.

The shop holds that 60% of the sale price for the return of the NFT. This 60% will remain in the shop until a time that the card is redeemed though the shop and the 60% is returned to the owner of the card at that time.

Examples:

A card costing 50 HIVE.

20 HIVE will go to the shop and 30 HIVE powered up to a unique account made at the time of sale. The 30 HIVE will remain in the account until the card returns to the shop. If the card is never returned to the shop. The 30 HIVE will remain there.

A card costing 250 HIVE.

A card costing 250 HIVE Will have 150 HIVE put in a unique account. Again only redeemable to the specific card ID. Only redeemable to that specific card.

The additional advantage this offers to any purchaser of a card is. When HIVE moons the value of the held HIVE may very well exceed the value of the card. At that time some might find it advantageous to redeem a held card back to the shop.

A selection of cards is being looked at to put up for sale first. All cards held can be seen at https://beta.nftm.art/inventory/star/@thehive. A site provided by @Cadawg and Rishi556, Check out there blogs. Some great work there by the way.

Additionally, three accounts will be available for sale. Details of those will be given in a separate post.

I am sure it is a great idea but I don't really understand it. I think you need a few images to explain the process and why people should use it.

Cheers,
