Global Schedule: What is going on?

Am 15. September ist der Anreisetag mit Hotel-Check-in, Armband- und Badge-Abholung, danach lässt man den Abend mit ein paar Drinks ausklingen. (Möglicherweise aber auch mit einem anderen Rauschmittel.)

September 15 is the arrival day with hotel check-in, wristband and badge pickup, then you wind down the evening with a few drinks. (Possibly with other substances, though).

Am 2. Tag sind von 10 Uhr bis 17 Uhr Vorträge und Präsentationen. Davor und danach gibt es ein Rahmenprogramm, das eine Bootfahrt und Drinks beinhaltet.

On Day 2, from 10am to 5pm, there will be lectures and presentations. Before and after, there will be a social program that includes a boat ride and drinks.

Der 3. Tag am HiveFest besteht nur aus Vorträgen. Von 10 bis 17 Uhr wird man die coolsten, engagiertesten und hivestylischsten Projekte präsentiert bekommen. Der Abend des 3. Tages steht zur freien Verfügung. (Falls man uns sucht, wir sind im Coffee Shop.)

The 3rd day at HiveFest consists only of lectures. From 10am to 5pm you will be showcased the coolest, most engaging and hivestylish projects. The evening of the 3rd day will be free. (If you're looking for us, we'll be in a coffee shop).

Am 4. Tag ist Sightseeing angesagt. Von 10 bis 17 Uhr gibt es die Möglichkeit, die Stadt gemeinsam mit den smarten Hivians zu erkunden. Abends wird noch ein letztes Mal gemeinsam gegessen (und gesoffen [und sicher auch geraucht]).

On the 4th day, sightseeing is the order of the day. From 10am to 5pm, there is the opportunity to explore the city together with the smart Hivians. In the evening we will have dinner (and drink [and certainly smoke]) together one last time.

Wir werden vermutlich am Montag die Heimreise antreten, so können wir das Closing Dinner ohne Stress genießen und die Tage ausklingen lassen.

We will probably start our journey home on Monday, so we can enjoy the Closing Dinner without stress and let the days end.

Journey: 1200 km by night train

Von Wien weg geht es für mich mit einem Nightjet innerhalb von 14 Stunden nach Amsterdam Centraal. Ich war verwundert, dass es sogar eine Direktverbindung gibt.

From Vienna, it takes me within 14 hours on a Nightjet to Amsterdam Centraal. I was surprised that there is even a direct connection.

Ich bin wiederum verwundert das du von Wien aus fährst....
Hatte ich gar nicht auf dem Schirm das du eine Landsfrau bist....

weis auch noch nicht 100% ob ich hinfahre; ( zur Zeit eher nicht)
Für mich gäbe es im Falle das ich nach Amsterdam fahre
2 Optionen: Flug ab Graz Hin und Retour € 166.-
( ab Wien sogar billiger ab 128.- glaub aber ohne Gebäck)
oder mit dem Zug Schlafwagen Hin und Retour 100.- auch ab Graz
und dann gäbe es noch mit dem Flixibus 29,99.- Hin und 49.99.- Retour ab Wien.

Wie dem auch sei, wünsch dir viel Spaß in Amsterdam!!

Wie soll ich, das kleine Mädl vom Land wissen, dass es eine direkte Zugverbindung gibt? 😇😄
Ehrlich gesagt fahre ich nicht von Wien weg 😜 Da startet nur der Zug. Ich wohne im Waldviertel, ich werde also in St. Pölten oder Linz zusteigen.
Die Flüge habe ich mir auch angeschaut - wären möglicherweise sogar billiger (weil Damenabteil im Liegewagen extra kostet), aber ich muss die Anreise zum Flughafen auch noch rechnen. Ich glaube, dann kommts aufs Gleiche raus.
Hmmm ja, ich bin auch noch nicht 100 % sicher, wie ich es mache. 🙃

I grew up in the periphery of Vienna and used to go there to party, but that was a few years ago 😝 Yes, Vienna is a beautiful city 😊

I was there 3 years back. Spend time between Vienna and Salzburg.
Not sure if I fell in love with both these beautiful cities first or the wonder food treats at Billa
Missed the sponge cake so much that I ended up trying to recreate my own microwave version of it back home.
Mozart kugel, Almdudler that fresh refreshing air the call of the mountains (its an endless list ) fills me with nostalgia and makes me wish to go back there again and again.
