An early rise to get a nice picture it turned out. Then it was back to the bunk until a more reasonable time to think about going ashore.
It had been a few days of me remaining onboard and rain showers or not a visit was in order. There were things to do. Mahone Bay is a very small town yet it seems to punch above its weight. This may likely be the largest offering of rent-able moorings anywhere along the South Shore; if not the Provence. They even offer a tender service 9 am to 9 pm daily. Judging from the amount of boats at mooring it is likely a good flow of income for the town as well as attracting visitor support to the local businesses.
Dropped into a nice cafe/restaurant and had a nice three cheese omelette with home fries, sausages and touch of salad. Washed down with a nice coffee blend. It definitely made the list and could be a contender.
After breakfast the skies began to clear and the sun came out. Sent a text to the fellow who installed my new radar. He wanted some IT help. He joined me at the cafe/restaurant. We took the easy chairs in the cafe area and addressed some of to his questions.
We also followed many other threads of discussion. We both seem to share many of the same takes on the world as it is at the moment. We both envision that one good way to retain ones freedom might well be had on the High Seas. Having the ability to move from pocket to pocket of freedom zones where ever they may blossom over the foreseeable future. We both seem to see the importance of practicing self sovereignty in whatever and where ever possible.
With plans in place for his IT projects we parted. He for home and me for a quick trip to the grocery store for supplies before grabbing the tender back to Makina. Had a pleasant late afternoon and evening doing what we always do Pinky... reading, internet-ing and snacks.

Yeah, was expecting the worst with 'red skies in morning..' rhyme but it cleared up by noon.
What are mooring costs like? Similar to camping or expensive
You can rent one for a full season (from June through to October) for $1100 CAD which is about $770 USD at the moment. They also rent daily and weekly rates which are more per day; just not sure how much off hand.

Yeah just happened to roll over and noticed a bright red light on the sails over the forward cabin's hatch. Curiousity got me up not suspecting it to be the sunrise.
