In The Footsteps of Abraham (Conclusion )

Verse 10:
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

He was still searching for that city which had foundations not just foundation and whose builder and maker is God. God was the master craftsman and architect behind the plan and Making if the city. You see, everything began with God and for Abraham, it had to end with God. GOD IS NOT COMMITTED TO FINISH WHAT YOU BEGAN. NO! IT HAS TO BE HIM OR YOU.

What's the summary of Abraham's walk with God? Uncommon faith. It's uncommon because it's not found everywhere. This kind of faith is fearful. Imagine Abraham was living the house, the father would have asked,

  1. To where
  2. What's the name of the place
  3. How are you going to feed?
  4. What happens to all your pasture and farm and landed properties? Etc.
All these didn't matter to Abraham. Imagine Abraham answered and said:
I don't know to all those possible questions mentioned above. Am sure he would have even said, 'am looking for a city with foundations whose builder and maker is Jehovah Himself'. And the father and everyone am sure would have said you must be MAD. Imagine Sarah's response. Humanly speaking she would be concerned because, one you have no idea of the name of the city you are going to, you only hold a vivid description of the place in your mind. You actually mean we are going to be normads? Like vagabonds roaming the whole place , looking for a city. Am only suggesting such drama would have taken place but nonetheless, Sarah followed.

Romans 4:18-22 KJVS
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. [19] And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. [22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Hallelujah! Am blessed myself of this word tonight.
TO DEVELOP UNCOMMON FAITH, YOU HAVE TO TAKE UNCOMMON STEPS.
It doesn't have to make sense to everyone, A MAD MAN IS CORRECT ONLY TO HIMSELF.

Can we actually take same bold steps like Abraham did in our time, in search of a city with foundations whose builder and maker is Jehovah?
Whether in ministry or marriage, it might not look like what He showed you yet, but can you hang on? Can you still walk with Him?
You know in our time there is this popular proverb now even amongst great church leaders, 'wisdom is profitable to direct' when it comes to a situation they feel they have no control over or their faith is not sufficient enough to believe God for. You know you have to consider the risks and uncertainties. Faith is a risk of uncertainties. UNCERTAINTIES MAKE THE WAKK OF FAITH FUN. You don't know who you would react when this shows up on your way to find that city but you believe there is provision. Look, I have often told some people, YOUR ACCOUNT BEING FULL DOESN'T MAKE YOU PROSPEROUS. WHAT IT MEANS TO BE PROSPEROUS IS THAT AT EVERY POINT OF NEED, THERE IS A PROVISION MADE BY GOD FOR THE NEED TO BE MET. You can have all the money and yet all your needs are not met.

Can you still walk in the footsteps of Abraham? Other than talk someone out a God given vision, why not ask God for grace to strengthen him/her to walk the walk of faith seeing that he /she is fully persuaded that faithful is He who has called him.
#UncommonFaith is a product of #Uncommon Steps which produces#UncommonPeople.

Am sure you are blessed.
