Ammonia is obtained by separating the components of water and air using electricity from renewable sources and the subsequent combination of hydrogen and nitrogen molecules, although catalysts made of metals such as cobalt, nickel or ruthenium are needed, the same problem than in conventional batteries.
El amoniaco se obtiene mediante la separación de los componentes del agua y del aire utilizando electricidad procedente de fuentes renovables y la combinación posterior de las moléculas de hidrógeno y nitrógeno, aunque se necesitan catalizadores compuestos de metales como cobalto, níquel o rutenio, el mismo problema que en las baterías convencionales.
Today ammonia is already used as fuel directly in industrial environments in turbines or boilers, although this is still under development, on the other hand ammonia when burned does not generate any toxic residue, only water and molecular nitrogen (N2) apart of heat.
Hoy día el amoniaco ya se usa como combustible directamente en entornos industriales en turbinas o calderas, aunque esto esté todavía en vías de desarrollo, por otra parte el amoniaco cuando se quema no genera ningún residuo tóxico, sólo agua y nitrógeno molecular (N2) aparte de calor.

The major countries rejected solutions of resorting to alternative energies because it harms their overall economy, which depends on oil. Anything that is good for the environment is against capitalism.
hmmmmm, i didn't know all that about hydorgen.. I always wondered why i don't see more use of that.
Ammonia is an ideal solution for safe transportation. It is true that hydrogen is a solution to get rid of oil's environmental and even economic problems. But there are a group of countries that depend on the gas pipeline trade as the primary source of the economy.
