In this line, a group of scientists from Carnegie Mellon University has managed to simulate the sensation of a kiss without requiring any hardware device to come into contact with our skin and taking advantage of existing designs in this type of virtual reality devices, such as the glasses that normally we see.
En esta línea un grupo de científicos de la Universidad Carnegie Mellon ha conseguido simular la sensación de un beso sin necesitar que ningún dispositivo hardware entre en contacto con nuestra piel y aprovechando los diseños existentes en este tipo dispositivos de realidad virtual, como las gafas que normalmente vemos.
To do this, this group of researchers added a battery of ultrasonic transducers focused on the mouth to a virtual reality helmet. Using ultrasound, this device makes us feel a sensation of touch, not only on the lips but also on the teeth and the rest of the the mouth if we keep it open.
