Preserved mammoth remains were discovered in Siberia. It will be used for cloning

in #science4 years ago

At least, these are the plans of the Russian government and local scientists who have already started the process of collecting the remains, and soon they will go to research centers specializing in biotechnological experiments.

Russian scientists have revealed that a fragment of the skull, several ribs and a fragment of the foot with tendons and soft tissues preserved on it have been secured at the site of discovery, which means that scientists from the Arctic Research Center will be able to use fragments of the young mammoth in their biological experiments aimed at

cloning an individual with as many features as possible of these beautiful creatures.

The research has been going on for a good few years, but so far no full blown mammoth has been born.

It is worth adding here that he was born to an elephant. Russia recently opened a great Pleistocene Park in Siberia.

In recent years, well-preserved remains of mammoths, woolly rhinoceros, cave lions and ancient horse breeds have been discovered there.

They are to be used by Russian scientists to clone and recreate all these animals.

Scientists are collaborating on this issue with experts from the South Korean Foundation for Biotechnological Research SOOAM.

They are very successful and they work with companies that clone dogs and cats on a daily basis.

Their ambitions, however, are much greater.

Koreans dream of building a real Jurassic Park.

According to the project, all kinds of dinosaurs would live there, including the popular T.Rex, with pterodactyls flying overhead.

We have thousands of zoological parks in the world, but we can still see the same creatures in them.

The construction of an animal park that is now extinct would be a historic event for mankind.
