I played Prélude in C major by Louis J.-A. Lefébure-Wély.
This piece was extremely difficult. It took to learn and record it very long... perhaps 30... minutes.
Louis-James-Alfred Lefébure-Wély was a French organist and composer. He played a major role in the development of the French symphonic organ style and was closely associated with the organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, inaugurating many new Cavaillé-Coll organs.
His playing was virtuosic, and as a performer, he was rated above eminent contemporaries including César Franck. His compositions, less substantial than those of Franck and others, have not held such a prominent place in the repertory.

Nothing wrong with good old Lefébure-Wély. His music may not as 'deep' as Franck, Vierne, etc, but the same goes for a lot of the socalled minor composer. Nevertheless, a lot of their music is fun to play and to listen to. So, more Lefébure-Wély, please! :-)
