Sacramento Opens Cybersecurity Opportunities for Covid Displaced Workers

in #security4 years ago (edited)

This is a great template for other communities to retrain Covid-19 displaced workers for a career in cybersecurity. City of Sacramento is leading the way and showcasing how public/private partnerships can help the community and make the digital world safer for everyone!

Thanks to the City of Sacramento, Mayor Darrell Steinberg and the City Council's grant approval of our Collective6 Workforce Development Recovery Program, several hundreds of COVID-19 displaced workers will get the opportunity to get re-skilled and hired into new jobs.

I am proud to be partnering with the Greater Sacramento Urban LeagueCompTIASquare Root AcademyCode for Hood and Animation Intern to deliver these fast track programs to create new job opportunities for Sacramento Valley residents.

They are ready to accept applications. Here is the registration link to the Cybersecurity Career Accelerator: https://leadmind.inteligenca.com/saccares-cybersecurity-accelerator/

I would like to see more communities adopt this stratagem to retool the workforce while filling the many open positions in cybersecurity.
