Now internet was more available to everyone here. So, It was a worry that for accessing stuffs like Facebook, YouTube they have to pay them separately. So, one can say it was luck or whatever such things suffered huge opposition across the world and such law were never passed.
In India, after that watching pirated movies and even uploading was declared illegal somewhat September 2016.
Torrent sites were banned and strict law were made to safeguard the interest, money and efforts of Bollywood movie maker. Laws includes penalty and prison to offenders.
What was Reason for law?
Although internet was available earlier but now after 2016 it was like population explosion for Internet.
After that a lot many creators came on YouTube even with low quality contents and if you are YouTuber you might me knowing how tougher the rules has become now.
5000 subscribers and 4000 hr of watchtime is the current requirement for monetization.
YouTubers earning and YouTube reputation in front of sponsers started decreasing due to low quality article because of these problems youtube appointed more staffs in 2017 to check all such deals.
And 2018 the historic bitcoin ATM was stablished by Unocoin in Bangalore for which he was prisoned.
In India at that time RBI ( Reserve Bank of India) refused to support Bitcoin trading.
Reason was that Government was in doubt that some tax robbers are investing in crypto and that time "currency banning" happened in India.
Impact of rejection by Government a vast majority of Indian exchanges companies suffered a huge loss untill Koinex discovered Peer-to-Peer model of money transaction but irony is that the same company is now no more.
Another possible opposition was might be terrorism who may use crypto as there financial source here and use it as resources for spreading chaos here.
But whatever be the truth no one is sure to say.
In 2019, Facebook declared to bring his own currency called Libra and that also suffered huge rejection by top countries including China. Concept is clear of such currencies will come than it is more sure that democracy will come under threat. Having ownership of such token that could possibly affect the global economy will be like a King of this planet and that's is the issue to be concerned first.
According to a news China is banning Steemit, I don't understand why?
But as per the future of steemit every one know but we never say that it is more likely depend on Bitcoin price and in 2020 it will be nearly half and after anything more accurate can be predicted about steem.
My views
Whatever be the reason and whatever be the circumstances it is more likely that freedom of internet sometimes appears to be prisoning the reality.
And some day this will create a terrible situation in front of Government.
In my country I am almost satisfied with restrictions except on the issue of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies.
