One of my favorite types of silver investing is to buy the Perth Mint's coin bars like these:
They are technically coins since they are legal tender with the Australian government, even though they are in a bar form. The dragon design is particularly nice, though the kangaroo bars are nice as well.
The Perth Mint puts out great coins and I have usually protected mine in bar cases to prevent scratching, even though there technically isn't a collector's value to them per se. They usually do command a premium similar to a American Silver Eagle, so a bit better than most other government issued bullion.

Yes, those Perth Mint coin bars are as cool as they come. They had a hefty premium, before everything else, Silver, did. Wish I had got some. Thanks for showing, @brian.rrr.
