Today i will be sharing you an italian 500 lire silver coin. One dated 1969 and the other 1970.
The 500 Lire Silver Coins were minted during two periods of the Italian Republic. The first minting took place from 1958 to 1967. During this period the 500 lire were minted in silver.
The second period was from 1982 until 2001. In this period the 500 Lire Silver Coin were minted adding bronze, thus becoming bimetallic. In 2001, the issue was suspended forever because of the introduction of the single European currency, the Euro.

The photos show that they were minted in 1969 and 1970, but, according with what you wrote above, the two periods of minting were 1958-1967 and 1982-2001. Are these coins fakes?
@ronavel as far as i know the following years have minting in sets specifically for numismatist but not for circulation (i could be wrong)like the one i have still in set both 1969 and 1980 aside from the two that i took from its plastic container..
