I loved the first series of Zombucks. I tried liking this world coin series of Zombucks, but it never grabbed. I have several of them, but they will be going up for sale. I’m just not into them.

Here’s some info: As the zombie apocalypse continues its march across the globe, the Zombucks World Series offers you the latest designs for the currency of the apocalypse. In the fifth release of the series, we find the zombie apocalypse creating chaos on the African continent as it impacts symbols of the continent, such as the Springbok antelope.

In this latest issue of the Zombucks World Series, the zombie apocalypse has spread its devastating virus to the plains and deserts of southern Africa. The iconic Springbok antelope is captured in this design. The Springbok is renowned for its exceptional jumping abilities, which are utilized both as a form of locomotion and as a defense mechanism against predators. They can execute breathtaking jumps up to 13 feet high and 50 feet in length. Despite its speed and leaping abilities, the Springbok couldn’t escape the outbreak.
On the obverse of Zombucks World Killerrand Silver Rounds, you’ll find a Springbok antelope. The creature is shown here in the midst of its pronking movement, but the virus is keeping up. The antelope’s body is decaying, with pieces of its flesh visibly falling from its hind quarters and tail as it moves.
The reverse of 1 oz Killerrand Silver Rounds comes with the emblem of the series. In this design, a biohazard symbol is shown at the center of the field with spores of the virus visible in the background. The identifying hallmarks of the round are also present on this side.

I remember those. I thought it was a pretty good gimmick to sell silver..
The original series was fun, this series ...meh. It must be me since I could be getting tired of the Zombie genre reaching well beyond cliche in my eyes. Maybe I'm becoming a cultural normie rather than sub-cultural. The only coin I have of this series is the Kookburied I picked up at my Coin club auction for $40CAD. 🦇
