¡Hola amigos! Sean bienvenidos a mi post, en esta ocasión les vengo a traer un paso a paso mostrando como realice la ilustración de “chihiro” protagonista de la pelicula titulada "el viaje de Chihiro".

Es una película de animación japonesa dirigida por Hayao Miyazaki y producida por Studio Ghibli. Se trata del séptimo largometraje dirigido por Miyazaki dentro del estudio y de la decimotercera producción de Ghibli.

El filme cuenta la historia de una niña de nueve años llamada Chihiro, quien durante una mudanza se ve atrapada en un mundo mágico y sobrenatural, teniendo como misión buscar su libertad y la de sus padres, y así poder regresar a su mundo.

Desde su estreno, que fue el 20 de julio de 2001 El viaje de Chihiro alcanzó un gran éxito dentro y fuera de Japón. Con una recaudación mayor a los 30 mil millones de yenes —229 millones de dólares—, se convirtió en la película más taquillera en la historia del cine japonés; mientras que a nivel mundial recaudó más de 264 millones de dólares. Aclamada por la crítica internacional, la película es considerada una de las mejores de la década de los 2000, y una de las mejores películas animadas de todos los tiempos. En cuanto a premios, ganó un Óscar en la categoría de mejor película de animación —la única película de anime que ha recibido dicha condecoración hasta ahora—; también ganó el Oso de oro, ex aequo con Domingo sangriento, en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín del 2002, siendo la única película de animación en conseguirlo hasta la fecha. Además, se encuentra en el top 10 de las 50 películas que deberías ver a los 14 años según el British Film Institute.

Hello friends! Welcome to my post, this time I will come to bring you step by step showing how to make the illustration of "chihiro" protagonist of the film entitled "the journey of Chihiro".

Is a Japanese animation film directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. This is the seventh film directed by Miyazaki in the studio and the thirteenth production of Ghibli.

The film tells the story of a nine-year-old girl named Chihiro, who during a move is trapped in a magical and supernatural world, having as mission to seek their freedom and that of their parents, and thus be able to return to their world.

Since its premiere, which was on July 20, 2001 Spirited Away achieved great success inside and outside of Japan. With a collection of more than 30 billion yen -229 million dollars-, it became the highest grossing film in the history of Japanese cinema; while worldwide it raised more than 264 million dollars. Acclaimed by international critics, the film is considered one of the best of the 2000s, and one of the best animated films of all time. As for prizes, he won an Oscar in the category of best animated film -the only anime movie that has received such a decoration so far-; he also won the Golden Bear, ex aequo with Bloody Sunday, at the 2002 Berlin International Film Festival, being the only animated film to achieve it to date. He is also in the top 10 of the 50 films what you should see at 14 years old according to the British Film Institute.

punto 4.png Lo primero que hago al comenzar una ilustración es hacer un boceto del personaje tomando en cuenta muchos elementos que están a su alrededor o que los elementos que son caracteristicos de ese personaje para brindarle un aire mas fresco y que sea facil de reconocer sin sobrecargar la imagen con referencias del mismo, usualmente tomo imagenes originales dicho personaje y asi poder crear un boceto con mi estilo de dibujo (el cual debo admitir varia mucho aun siento que no tengo un estilo caracteristico)

punto 4.png The first thing I do when starting an illustration is to make a sketch of the character taking into account many elements that are around it or the elements that are characteristic of that character to give it a fresher air and that is easy to recognize without overloading the image with references of the same one, usually I take original images said personage and thus to be able to create a sketch with my style of drawing (which I must admit varies much even I feel that I do not have a characteristic style)

paso 2/ step 2

punto 4.png Una vez teniendo el boceto o base del personaje comencé a darle color, para ello comencé con la piel de ella, usando sombras definí la nariz y algunas partes de su rostro mientras que con las luces intente que no se viera tan plano.

punto 4.png Once having the sketch or base of the character I started to color it, so I started with her skin, using shadows defined the nose and some parts of her face while the lights try not to look so flat.

paso 3/ step 3

punto 4.png Ahora le comienzo a darle vida al personaje, sus ojos y boca son importantes asi que preferí hacerlos en ese momento.

punto 4.png Terminada la piel, los ojos y boca, comencé con la ropa, la cual no fue gran problema ya que no se ve mucho de la misma.

punto 4.png Es momento de mi parte favorita, el cabello, tomando en cuenta la referencia que use comencé a jugar con tonos oscuros para el cabello de chihiro o sen (como prefieran llamarla), la verdad admito que aún se me dificulta un poco hacer el cabello en tonos oscuros ya que debo jugar muy bien con los tonos para que no se pierda el volumen y la forma del mismo, aun así admito disfrute mucho haciendo esta parte.

punto 4.png It is time of my favorite part, the hair, taking into account the reference that I use, I started playing with dark tones for chihiro hair or sen (as you prefer to call it), the truth is that I still have a hard time doing my hair in dark tones because I have to play very well with the tones so that I do not lose the volume and shape of it, even so I admit I enjoy doing this part a lot.

punto 4.png Ya con el personaje listo comencé con el fondo, use una paleta de color similar para el fondo de haku ya que quería dar esa impresión de que se estaban viendo.

Now with the character ready I started with the background, I used a similar color palette for the background of haku since I wanted to give that impression that they were seeing each other.
