Changes to Team SmartCash on Steemit Guidelines

We want to keep Team SmartCash on Steemit going for as long as possible to reward great and original content and celebrate this awesome community of people that we have here on Steemit. However, we also want to celebrate quality of posts over quantity of posts and make it fair for the people who take time and effort to create awesome SmartCash related content.

For your post to be eligible to receive a tip, it needs to meet the following criteria:

1. Must be at least 250 words in length/an original video that you own and created/a high quality original meme or photos that you own or created. Plagarised work will not qualify

2. Must contain clickable links back to the SmartCash steemit page, the SmartCash website, SmartCash Twitter and our Discord channel

3. A link must be posted in the Team-SmartCash-Steemit Discord channel in order to receive a tip

4. Must be quality content. If a post is deemed low quality, plagarised or poorly written it will not be tipped

The changes to the tipping structure had to happen. The absolute junk that is being posted on the #smartcash tag was quite frankly, getting ridiculous. These changes will hopefully weed out the lazy ones that just copy paste a bit of junk or post the same video that has been shared 100x already with nothing to add around it.

This week in my SmartCash Journal I would like to highlight the topic that repetative articles and articles with the lack of effort are starting to fill the #smartcash tag. This is concerning and could see it having a negative effect on the community or new community members who would like to join or inter act.

I've always found it a bit non-intuitive. I've been meaning to invest for some time now but, for one reason or another, I haven't gotten around to it. I have a wallet with some smartcash I was gifted but that's about it. 😁

Coming back to the topic, i would definitely recommend you to take some time out of your busy schedule and read about their program and project.. you will find that smartcash blockchain has some exciting things to offer..

Well they didn't actually gift me the wallet @jbn. it took me about two weeks to work out how to get one so they could put the smartcash in it. 😂

I will try and find the time to buy some smartcash as it seems to be 10c at the moment so I could get my 1000 for $100 and then earn some interest. Seems like a good deal.

More than a good deal. You see in january, smartcash was trading at 3$ a piece.. so you can well imagine that one more boom will put it back on track and you can earn 3000$ from your 100$ investment..

Yes we did @nitego. 😊 I was just reading the notes I made from our conversation. You said "HitBTC smartcash wallet is not currently allowing smartcash withdrawals." so I'm not keen on that one and I don't recognise any of the others on the Smartcash page.

Unfortunately I didn't meet anyone at the Crypto show that knew anything about Smartcash.

@gillianpearce HitBTC had this period of being up and down for various wallets. On smartcash discord we monitor this and will let the community know if any of the #smartcash wallets on the exchanges are down.
I no longer live in UK but in Canada. I will break down the steps:

• Get Bitcoins - create account with coinbase.com or any UK approved Bitcoin exchange
• Send the Bitcoins to your own bitcoin wallet- Electrum is a light Bitcoin wallet that will not waste your time syncing. However I find myself using BitPay (Anroid/IOS) wallet a lot more its easier to pay with.
• Create and account or HitBTC and enable 2FA (extra security using either google authenticator or authy)
• On HitBTC go to the Bitcoin wallet and click on the deposit (+) icon , this should generate a bitcoin address
• Go your bitcoin wallet and send some bitcoins to the HitBTC address
• On HitBTC the transaction would show as pending. Wait for all confirmations to be done.
• Once you bitcoin is available you can go the exchange tab and select smart/btc pair to buy some.

I appreciate your help but it sounds way too complicated for me.

I don't know understand the fundamentals, like wallets for example, to feel confident enough to do this and that article on Skrill went way over my head.

I've only bought Steem before and I used GDax and Blocktrades and didn't need a wallet, as far as I'm aware.

It's a bit late for me to try and work it out. I'm off to bed soon. But maybe I'll take a look again in the morning.

Hey @vanessav, thanks so much for chatting about SmartCash on Steemit... sorry to hear you feel the tip is 'meager'. If you are asking for SmartCash please create a proposal... when it comes to funding, the community always decides if what you're suggesting is worth it based on views followers engagement etc. But if your main idea in the proposal is to get more money for posting on Steemit to your 300 followers I think it would be unlikely, because we have already have Team SmartCash on Steemit. If you were thinking about creating something extra like video content etc, the community may decide it is worth it. if you're not sure how to go about creating a proposal, let me know :)

Oh you have me all wrong!

I am not looking for a STEEM handout at all. Just a big booster of Smartcash and I was happy to airdrop some of my own coins to STEEMians who may not have heard of Smartcash or maybe needed that push to open a wallet and get started. That was the meager I mentioned as I didn't have that many to hand out.

My proposal is in the initial post. If you would be able to contribute some Smartcash to the wallet I put in all of my blog posts, I will airdrop it all to followers and hopefully more than just the 5 I was able to reward last time.

Just trying to do my part and spread the wealth to steemians.

Thanks for the first tip and for accepting us into Team SmartCash on Steemit. We're really keen to get started in initially posting some more generic, longer form content which will hopefully improve SmartCash's SEO and then move to more specific, shorter form content from there.

As for the changes to the tipping structure, we fully understand why they were made. We're unfortunately not on Discord at the moment, but that can be fixed if there is no other way to apply for tips. Are there any possible alternatives?
