History
Barangay Maybancal is situated in the Municipality of Morong in the Province of Rizal. Maybancal is well-known for the Cavalier Statue located in the heart of Maybancal where the National Road and the National Highway connects. Barangay Maybancal is also considered as the central hub of transportation in the Municipality of Morong because it connects major highways and National Roads in Morong. Barangay Maybancal is one of the only Barangay in Rizal that offers educational program for Persons with Special Needs.

The name Maybancal comes from the word “Bangkal”, which was abundant in the area in the earlier days; Maybancal literally translate to “There is a Bangkal Tree”. Due to the American Colonization in the 1900’s, Maybangkal changed its name to Maybancal. Barangay Maybancal includes the sitios of Libis, Caingin, Sagbat, Kalye Mahangin, Andres Farm, Pulang Lupa, Taghangin, Talaga, May-ugat, and Donya Ana. There is no authentic record available which definitely tells the date of the establishment of the barangay. According to reliable informants, when the Spaniards came to Morong, the place was already occupied by a certain group of Natives. Just a few years after the defeat of the Spaniards by the British, the Spanish government established the barrios of Morong, Maybancal was one of them.
