A pocos días de la llegada casa de Señor Gato, nos dio un gran susto y la verdad es que la está contando porque es un gatito fuerte, de cachorro se acercó a un envase dentro del cual mi hermana puso en remojo unas prendas con cloro y jabón, el ingirió parte de esa agua y comenzó a vomitar, como suele ocurrir esto ocurrió en fin de semana a una hora en la que trasladarse a una clínica veréis era un problema; en casa con la ayuda vía teléfonica de una amiga proteccionista logramos darle solución al incidente, pero no todos los gatitos que han hecho esta gracia la han contado.
Hace poco en una de mis publicaciones mi amiga @sirenahippie me hizo mención a la atraccion que tienen los gatos por el cloro y le agradecí por este comentario, ya que nutrio mi lista de próximas publicaciones, así que hoy dedicare está publicación a la relación Gato - lejía que es el verdadero nombre de la sustancia.
Lo primero que debes saber es que el olor de este producto es agrade para los gatos, por ello a veces los puedes ver frotándose en lugares en los cuales se haya limpiado con ella o hayan caído algunas gotas, el efecto sobre ellos y la reacción sería similar al que produce el Catnip o Hierba gatera y al igual que ocurre con la planta, no todos los gatos sienten esta atracción alocada, pero si hay algo que es muy llamativo para ellos y te lo explico a continuación.
No hay componentes similares entre la hierba gatera y la lejía , pero al parecer este último produce en ellos una reacción parecida a la de una feromona y si por casualidad lo mezclas con algún otro producto que tenga amoniaco o limpias su orina con lejía, puedes estar incitando a orinar en el lugar donde se aplico porque (el amoniaco) es un componente presente en la orina de nuestros míninos , Es importante que tengas esto muy presente la combinación lejía amoniaco es faltal para nosotros sistema respiratorio igual que para el nuestro evita esta combinación.
Ahora creo que muchos estarán comprendiendo la razón por la que tú gato o gatos se continúan orinando en lugares donde has limpiado a profundidad con lejía, creyendo que así como el aroma desaparece para ti lo hará para el , ¡Sorpresa lo estás invitando o incitando a que lo haga más! ,de hecho la lejía puede ser usada para educar a los gatos a usar la caja de arena, la manera es colocar una o dos gotas en el fondo del arenero y su instinto y territoriolidad harán el resto. Está es una de las razones por las cuales yo sólo usoen ciertos lugares de mi hogar, además de que me hace mucho daño.
El otro factor que debes tener presente es que el cloro o lejía es sumamente dañino para los gatos y tras frotarse o pisar en lugares donde pudiera estar fresco, al acicalarse lo estaría ingiriendo , pensarás que es una pequeña cantidad, pero créeme es peligroso al igual que lamerlo el que inhalen sus gases también perjudica su sistema respiratorio y ni hablar de si lo bebe como le ocurrió a mi Señor Gato.
Me imagino que preguntas ¿con que limpio entonces? Pues al no ser experta en química y estar casi segura de que al menos en Venezuela no hay muchos limpiadores enzimáticos y naturales que contribuyan a no dañarnos a nosotros mismos, nuestro mínimo y finalmente a la naturaleza pues les dejó una tarea investigue un poco y decidan que les puede ser útil para mantener la casa limpia.

There are no similar components between catnip and lye, but it seems that the latter produces in them a reaction similar to a pheromone and if by chance you mix it with some other product that has ammonia or clean your urine with lye, you may be inciting to urinate in the place where it was applied because (ammonia) is a component present in the urine of our Mininos, it is important that you have this very present the combination of ammonia lye is missing for us respiratory system as for ours avoids this combination.
Now I think that many will understand why your cat or cats continue to urinate in places where you have thoroughly cleaned with bleach, believing that just as the smell disappears for you it will for him, you are inviting or inciting him to do it more! In fact, lye can be used to educate cats to use the litter box, the way is to place one or two drops at the bottom of the sandbox and his instinct and territoriality will do the rest. This is one of the reasons why I only use certain places in my home, besides it hurts me a lot.
The other factor you should keep in mind is that chlorine or bleach is extremely harmful to cats and after rubbing or stepping on it in places where it might be fresh, when preening it, you will think it is a small amount, but believe me it is dangerous as well as licking it that inhaling its gases also harms their respiratory system and not to mention if they drink it as it happened to my Mr. Cat.
I guess you're asking what do I clean with then? Well, not being an expert in chemistry and being almost sure that at least in Venezuela there are not many enzymatic and natural cleaners that contribute to not harming ourselves, our minimum and finally nature, because I left you a task to investigate a little and decide that it can be useful to keep the house clean.

Buena publicación @actioncats al fin salí de una duda que me inquietaba, pues no comprendía ese comportamiento de mis gatos, y ya sé para no dejar nada de cloro a disposición de ellos, no vaya a ser que repitan el ejemplo del tuyo. Un gran saludo, amiga.
