Este guajiro logró llegar segundo en un espectacular remate donde se batió con el corredor de las Bahamas Steven Gardier, a pesar de no poder conseguir el primer lugar por muy poco este corredor hizo un tiempo de 44.15 estableciendo una nueva marca nacional.
