El día comenzó con una maravillosa vista hacia la ciudad de las artes y las ciencias. Ya con varios miembros del equipo reunido y con las bicicletas ya operativas, comenzamos lo que fue una magnífica ruta hacia uno de los lagos más grandes de España (por no decir EL más grande, si no me equivoco).
The day began with a wonderful view of the city of arts and sciences. With various members of the team already assembled and with the bikes already operational, we started what was a magnificent route to one of the largest lakes in Spain (not to say THE largest, if I'm not mistaken).
Tenía ya muchísimo tiempo pensando en ir a este increíble lugar pero no había tenido la motivación correcta para ir y disfrutar del paisaje y todo lo que tenía para ofrecerme.
I had been thinking about going to this incredible place for a long time but had not had the right motivation to go and enjoy the scenery and all it had to offer.
Está actividad apareció ante mi en un plataforma de actividades y encuentros llamada "Meet Up". App que ahora sin duda alguna seguiré usando para buscar más actividades emocionantes de este tipo.
This activity appeared before me in a platform of activities and meetings called "Meet Up". App that I will now undoubtedly continue to use to look for more of these exciting activities.
Aún me duelen las piernas por la paliza que me llevo hacer la ruta, jajaja, pero que fue un precio valiosísimo a pagar por una experiencia tan motivadora y relajante.
My legs still hurt from the beating it took me to do the route, hahaha, but it was a very valuable price to pay for such a motivating and relaxing experience.
Yo me dediqué principalmente a conectar conmigo y a disfrutar en paz todo lo que tenía a mi alrededor. No hice casi fotos, principalmente por estar la mayor parte del tiempo conduciendo la bici, pero aún así hice lo posible por llevarme breves registros de la ruta realizada.
I mainly dedicated myself to connect with myself and enjoy in peace all that I had around me. I didn't take many pictures, mainly because I was riding the bike most of the time, but I still did my best to keep brief records of the route.
Una de las cosas que deje pasar fue hacerle una foto a la paella de mariscos y al fideua que comimos en el palmar. Esta parte es importante porque tengo entendido que la Albufera es el lugar donde nació la paella valenciana. Así que probar una paella en su lugar de origen era sin duda una parte vital de la actividad, pero bueno, mis manos estaban ocupadas comiendo 😜
One of the things I missed was to take a picture of the seafood paella and fideua we ate in the palm grove. This part is important because I understand that the Albufera is the place where the Valencian paella was born. So tasting a paella in its place of origin was certainly a vital part of the activity, but well, my hands were busy eating 😜.
Lo que puedo destacar del viaje en bici es la comodidad con la que está construida está ciudad para aquellos que deseen hacer una ruta larga en bicicleta. En pocos momentos tuvimos que mezclarnos con los coches, la mayor parte del tiempo estuvimos dentro de la seguridad de conducir por nuestro propio canal para bicis, cosas que a más de uno podría resultarle valiosísimo para poder hacer una ruta de este tipo sin miedo a ser atropellado por algún rápido y furioso al volante, jajaja.
What I can highlight from the bike trip is the comfort with which this city is built for those who wish to do a long route by bike. At few moments we had to mix with cars, most of the time we were within the safety of riding in our own bike channel, things that more than one could find invaluable to be able to do such a route without fear of being run over by some fast and furious behind the wheel, hahaha.
El punto medio de esta ruta, pero que yo dejé para el final en este post, fue la maravillosa experiencia de hacer un paseo en balsa por la gran masa de agua que compone el humedal de la Albufera.
The middle point of this route, but that I left for the end in this post, was the wonderful experience of taking a raft ride through the large body of water that makes up the wetlands of the Albufera.
Escuchar el viento, mirar las aves, sentir el leve oleaje, disfrutar de unos minutos de paz en mitad de la nada es sin duda algo que a mí me llena de vida (sobretodo luego de tantas crisis emocionales, jajaja).
Listening to the wind, watching the birds, feeling the gentle waves, enjoying a few minutes of peace in the middle of nowhere is definitely something that fills me with life (especially after so many emotional crises, hahaha).
La verdad es que me gustaría hacer muchísimo más extenso este post, pero estoy a penas regresando de nuevo a este bonito hábito de escribir de nuevo sobre mis aventuras y experiencias.
The truth is that I would like to make this post much longer, but I'm just getting back to this beautiful habit of writing about my adventures and experiences.
