Hoy les quiero enseñar una pieza que fue dificil de hacer para mi en su momento, se trata de mi primera criatura no humana. Una hidra.
La hidra es una critatura mitológica, es un montruo de multiples cabezas.
Today I would like to show you a painting difficult to make, for the first time I painted something non-human; An Hydra.
The hydra is a mythological creature, a monster of multiple heads.

Para el bosquejo inicial yo tenia pensado hacer un contrapicado de la hidra haciendola parecer mas grande y amenazante.
For the initial sketch, I wanted to portray the Hydra from a low view to make it look bigger and more threatening.
A medida que avanzaba el bosquejo y veia las referncias, me di cuenta que no iba a salir bien, y lo cambie a un vista lateral para que se vieran todas las cabezas.
As the sketch progressed and I look over the references, I realized that it was not going to turn out very well, and I changed it to a side view so that all heads were visible.
La pintura fue dificil, 100% fuera de mi zona de confort.
Seguia la referencia e improvisaba en el camino.
The painting was a total pain. 100% out of my comfort zone.
I was following the reference and improvising over the way.
