Hello dear and dear friends, I hope you are very well

Today I want to skip a bit in content and go back to playing small musical fragments of orchestral works for both symphony, chamber orchestra and also quartets and others,

I had previously commented on the density of works for chamber music that there are, it is a very, very extensive amount that is really appreciated as a musician, because it is an endless number of works that it is almost impossible to play absolutely all of them (there are always new works by current composers)

Today's piece is quite famous, although not as famous as others ... Mainly I want to focus clearly on what this melody generates in us: a melancholy, or a pain.

And it is precisely what its composer, the Italian master Puccini, was looking for

He rightly titled it "Crisantemi", where he mentions a flower that was used in the funeral moments of that time, which remained in the culture,

In general, this work was composed for funeral moments, in such a way that the same composer uses it in a tragic moment in the opera "Manon Lescaut" referring to its meaning.

This version that we will hear today is of the version for string quartet, where all the energy of the piece is passed through the four instruments of this, so that is why I will record the main theme of violin 1.

Without more anything to add I send you a big hug
