Are we starting with Christmas? Of course we are! Christmas music is already starting to be heard in the premises, the Christmas trees are already decorated and the children started to write their letters to Santa and we started to make plans (although this year these plans are different thanks to the pandemic, we know and we adapt). One of the plans every year was to wait for Christmas Day to sit in front of the TV all day with my brothers and cousins and watch a marathon of every movie ever made. Today I'm going to make a top of the best Christmas movies for me (no, it's not Die Hard here).
¿Empezamos con la navidad? ¡Claro que sí! Ya se empieza a escuchar música navideña en los locales, ya los arbolitos de navidad están decorados y los niños empezaron a escribir sus cartas a Santa y empezamos a hacer planes (aunque este año sean diferentes estos planes gracias a la pandemia, lo sabemos y nos adaptamos). Uno de los planes de cada año era esperar el día de navidad para sentarnos todo el día frente a la tele con mis hermanos y primos a ver un maratón de todas las películas que existieran. Hoy les voy a hacer un top de las mejores películas de navidad para mí (no, no está Duro de Matar aquí).
The Nightmare Before Christmas
In 1993, Tim Burton brought us one of the most brilliant movie-making stories of all time, with a slightly different premise, because we were used to Christmas being joy, lights, brightness, delicious smells, but we would never think that it would join the error with Christmas in such a successful way. It was directed by Henry Selick and is a must see every year. Tell me if you didn't like the way this gothic poem-like movie was brought to the big screen.
En el año 1993 Tim Burton nos traía traía una de las historias hecha películas más geniales de todos los tiempos, con una premisa un poco diferente, porque estábamos acostumbrados a que la navidad es alegría, luces, brillo, olores deliciosos, pero nunca pensaríamos que se uniría elt error con la navidad de una manera tan exitosa. Estuvo dirigida por Henry Selick y es un imperdible de cada año. Díganme si no les gustó la manera en que esta película tipo poema gótico fue llevado a la pantalla grande.

With lactuations by a very cute little McKaulin Caulkin, and big ones like Joe Pesci and Catherine O'Hara. A must-see for every Christmas day and to see them at home as a family.
El grito más famosos del cine es el de esa imagen de Kevin aplicándose loción luego de afeitarse, una imagen que quedó grabada en nuestra mente gracias a esta película del año 1990 que fuera dirigida por uno de los directores más taquilleros de la historia: Chris Columbus, este mismo que sabe como llevar la magia y enganchar a todos los niños gracias a películas como Los Goonies y Los Gremlims, que debería estar en esta lista pero no quiero repetir directores. El día que la familia de Kevin sale de viaje por Navidad y olvidan al pequeño en casa empieza una de las historias más divertidas de navidad. Con Lactuaciones de un McKaulin Caulkin muy tierno y pequeño, y de grandes como Joe Pesci y Catherine O’Hara. Un imperdible para cada dá de navidad y de verlos en familia en casa.
The Grinch:
What would be on this list without "The Grinch", the grumpy, Christmas-hating man of them all. The Grinch lived on the farthest hill in a village with his neighbors the Who who waited every year to celebrate the most beautiful Christmas every year. A story with one of the most beautiful messages of all. More than once I have heard more than one friend say that they are The Grinch and what I think is: don't they know the whole story? but no way, I let them dream that they are bad hahaha. Although there are many versions, the one from 2000 is my favorite of all, directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey, and although it did not receive the most favorable reviews of all, it is still another movie to see at Christmas.
Que sería de esta lista sin "El Grinch", el malhumorado que odia la navidad más famoso de todos. El Grinch vivía en la colina más lejana de una aldea junto a sus vecinos los Who quienes esperaban todos los años para celebrar la más hermosa navidad cada año. Una historia con uno de los mensajes más bonitos de todos. Más de una vez he escuchado decir a más de un amigo que son El Grinch y yo lo que pienso es: ¿acaso no se saben toda la historia? pero ni modo, los dejo soñar que son malos jajajaja. Aunque hay muchas versiones, la del año 2000 es mi favorita de todas, dirigida por Ron Howard y Protagonizada por Jim Carrey, y aunque no recibió las criticas más favorables de todas, no deja de ser otra de las películas para ver en navidades.

This movie based on the famous book by Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol ", includes the famous Disney characters: Rico McPato, Mickey Mouse, Gooffy, Donald Duck, among many others. In this the greedy Ebeneezer Scrooge begins to receive visits from the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, and see his life pass before his eyes. I loved watching this short film every Christmas, one of the most beautiful adaptations of this all-time classic, released in December 1983. Have you seen it?
Esta película basada en el famoso libro de Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol", incluye a los famosos personajes de Disney: Rico McPato, Mickey Mouse, Gooffy, El Pato Donald, entre muchos más. EN este el codicioso Ebeneezer Scrooge empieza a recibir visitas de los fantasmas de la navidad pasada, presente y futura, y verá como pasa su vida ante los ojos. AMí me encantaba ver est cortometraje cada navidad, uno de las adaptaciones más bonitas de este clásico de todos los tiempos, estrenada en diciembre de 1983. ¿La han visto?
Klaus:
This is one of the newest films on the list and one of the best films of all in this genre. The plot tells us the story of Santa Klaus' origin in a more "real" way, traditionally animated and directed by Sergio Pablo, a Spanish animator with great experience animating Disney films in conjunction with a Spanish production company has built a milestone by being a film entirely made in Spain and in razing almost all the awards with the line of animation to the exception of the oscrs (he stole them shamelessly Toy History 4). This, although it is from 2019, is very new, it should be included in all the Christmas movie lists of all times, if you haven't seen it I recommend it now, it is a beautiful movie that you can enjoy with your family.
Esta es una de las películas más nuevas de la lista y una de las mejores películas de todas la de este género. La trama nos cuenta la historia del origen de Santa Klaus en un plano más "real", animada tradicionalmente y dirigida por Sergio Pablo, un animador español de gran experiencia animando películas de Disney en conjunto con una productora española ha construido un hito al ser una película completamente realizada en España y en arrasar con casi todas las premiaciones con el renglón de animación a excepición de los óscrs (se los robó descaradamente Toy History 4). Esta, aunque es del año 2019, es muy nueva, debe estar incluída en todas las listas de películas de navidad de todos los tiempos, si no la han visto se las recomiendo desde ya, es una película hermosísima que podrán disfrutar en familia.

Comparto y he disfrutado cada pelicula de esta selección. Klauss inició muy lenta para mi, pero al persistir viendola encontre una calida historia de navidad con un toque de mayor realidad.
