Ya han pasado cuatro años desde que me uní a esta comunidad (bueno, antes era otra y se llamaba diferente...), y la verdad es que haciendo memoria, me da un poco de pena lo poco que he avanzado.
Bienvenidos amigos a otro #RandomPost. El día de hoy quisiera dirigir este post a todos ustedes usuarios nuevos y a aquellos que aún no se han animado a unirse a esta gran comunidad.
Hablarles sobre los cuatro años que he pasado en estas dos plataformas, Steem y Hive, como he vivido la experiencia desde la perspectiva de un neófito en este mundo y quizá darles algunos consejos sobre lo aprendido a base de caídas y malos tragos.
Así que sin más, espero se queden conmigo hasta el final del post.
Primero un poco de historia
Esta aventura empezó hace cuatro años, durante una noche de insomnio, cuando mi mente inquieta se preguntaba, ¿como ganar dinero de forma fácil con las criptomonedas?. Nada que una pregunta a San Google no pudiera resolver, ¿verdad?.
Después de leer quizá medio centenar de artículos y quizá ver unos cuantos videos, me encontré con un enlace a un blog en Steemit.com. La verdad no recuerdo el post ó quien era el autor de aquel post, pero básicamente hablaba de la posibilidad de ganar criptomonedas haciendo lo que ya hacemos muchos de nosotros. Compartir contenido en la red.
Por supuesto que al principio me mostré incrédulo, ya que mi mente "domesticada" no entendía como alguien podía ganar dinero dando "likes" o compartiendo imágenes, vídeos o simplemente escribiendo sin tener publicidad intrusiva o molestos banners por todos lados. Pero después de unos días me animé a crear una cuenta.
Después de navegar unos cuantos meses por el sitio y de entender la dinámica básica del sitio (lee, da likes y si puedes escribe...) me decidí a crear mi primer post.
La verdad es que no podía creerlo ¡con ese primer post había ganado poco más de $9.00 dlls.!
Y fué así como comenzó esta aventura.
Colaborando y contribuyendo al ecosistema
Después de algunos meses muy activo dentro de la plataforma subiendo contenido y dando votos a todo lo que leía me encontré una iniciativa muy interesante de @anomadsoul, crear el primer trail de la comunidad mexicana.
Básicamente lo que @anomadsoul decía en aquel post era que la comunidad hispanohablante era una minoría dentro de la plataforma, pero que ya había comunidades que estaban empujando y apoyando contenido creado exclusivamente en español de manera muy fuerte como @cervantes, y que él quería replicar lo mismo, pero a un ámbito regional, una comunidad exclusivamente para creadores mexicanos.
Fué así que el 15 de junio de 2017 nació la primer comunidad 100% mexicana en nuestra blockchain, @mexico-trail.
Yo me incorporé al equipo de curación desde el inicio, aunque la verdad es que siempre fuímos solo dos personas en el proyecto, @anomadsoul y yo. Ambos nos encargábamos de buscar, votar el contenido y subir los post diariamente donde compartíamos el contenido de creadores mexicanos. Poco a poco comenzó a llegar apoyo de algunas ballenas como @acidyo, y más adelante de la nueva comunidad que empezaba, el proyecto @ocd, lo que nos daba la posibilidad de aumentar nuestra presencia dentro de la plataforma.
Fueron cuatro meses donde trabajamos día y noche curando contenido, creando dinámicas, y principalmente, apoyando a los creadores mexicanos a crecer dentro de la plataforma.
Desafortunadamente el proyecto terminó quedando abandonado, de mí parte tuve más trabajo en el mundo offline y simplemente me fué imposible continuar apoyando y subiendo contenido a mi blog. Pero me queda ese bonito recuerdo y la satisfacción de haber apoyado a algunos creadores, nuevos y viejos, aunque haya sido con un pequeño empujón y nació en mí ese sentimiento de pertenencia que no había tenido hasta este momento.
Era parte de una comunidad y era dueño de la comunidad.
Periodos de ausencia y regresos al blog y a la comunidad
Siempre e dependido del tiempo libre que dispongo para subir contenido en el blog e integrarme a proyectos o dinámicas dentro de la comunidad, al fin y al cabo, ese trabajo offline es el que nos mantiene todavía a mi familia y a mí (de momento... ;p), por lo que el blog a sido para mí un hobby y un lugar donde distraerme del caos del mundo real.
Lo anterior a provocado que haya tenido periodos de inactividad dentro de la plataforma de algunas semanas e incluso de varios meses sin subir nada o dar un solo voto, pero siempre que la carga de trabajo disminuía o que lograba acomodar mi tiempo, regresaba a subir contenido.
Vaya sorpresa al ver que usuarios mucho más nuevos y viejos conocidos habían logrado crecer tanto en esos períodos de ausencia, algunos incluso duplicando o triplicando sus ganancias.
Pero así es la vida, si se quiere crecer de manera sostenida hay que estar activo de manera continua, no importa lo poco que puedas crecer, siempre mantente activo dentro de la plataforma.
Steem Alliance y la gobernanza de la comunidad
Otro de los proyectos en los que me involucré fué en el @steemaliance, más concretamente en la comunidad de habla hispana, @steemalliance-es, donde fungía como traductor con la finalidad de dar a conocer a la comunidad de habla hispana sobre las ideas y objetivos de dicho proyecto.
Para quienes no lo recuerden, la Steem Alliance pretendía crear un organismo de gobierno dentro de la blockchain conformado por la comunidad y representantes de Steemit Inc. con el único objetivo de acelerar el desarrollo interno (dapps, developers, Steemit Inc) y buscar la expansión y adopción masiva de Steemit.
Al final, y a pesar de las buenas ideas e intenciones, el trabajo que realizamos muchos de nosotros con propuestas y demás quedó relegado por la llegada de un actor que nos prometía la entrada a las grandes ligas de las criptomonedas y a la adopción másiva de nuestra comunidad.
Promesas, incertidumbre y la lucha por nuestra comunidad
Todo empezó a finales de 2019, dentro de la comunidad empezaba a circular el rumor de una posible fusión o compra-venta, en general, el sentimiento era muy positivo y muchos de nosotros teníamos la esperanza de que, por fin, nuestra comunidad llegaría a las grandes ligas del mundo de las criptomonedas.
Aunque, todo era cuestión de rumores, el 14 de Febrero de 2020 se anunció oficialmente la compraventa de Steemit Inc. por parte de Justin Sun, el precio de Steem se duplicó en las siguientes horas y lo que parecía un gran negocio donde todos ganábamos, se convirtió rápidamente en una lucha por la supervivencia de la comunidad, la descentralización y de nuestra inversión.
La rebelión de la comunidad
En esta ocasión no voy a entrar en más detalles sobre todos los eventos que sucedieron en esos días. Para quienes quieran refrescarse la memoria ó deseen conocer todo lo sucedido aquí les dejo este post de Decrypt donde podrán conocer todos los hechos que sucedieron por aquellos días.
Al final lo único que logró Sun fué lo que nadie había logrado hasta ese momento. La comunidad encontró un catalizador en las acciones y maneras de actuar de Sun y terminaron por unirse en un solo movimiento en busca de hacer valer su voz y que se respetara la escencia descentralizada de la blockchain.
Se inició una batalla por el control del gobierno de la comunidad, pero al final, la intervención de algunos exchanges mal informados decantó el control absoluto a favor de Sun y la comunidad decidió hacer un hard fork y empezar de cero.
Nace Hive
Una vez que se realizó el hardfork que terminó en la creación de Hive empezó, para muchos de nosotros, un tiempo de incertidumbre, ya que en realidad no sabíamos si la nueva blockchain se podría mantener, si tendríamos suficiente tiempo para sacar nuestras ganancias de Steem ó sí la comunidad realmente iba a migrar a su nuevo hogar.
Al final, resultó en una migración de la gran mayoría de usuarios, dapps, comunidades y proyectos a la nueva blockchain. Lo más importante para mí, es que se había demostrado que la comunidad podía luchar y unir fuerzas en busca de un sólo objetivo, el sentimiento de pertenencia se intensificó y en general las ganas de construir una blockchain realmente descentralizada y dejar los malos hábitos del pasado en busca de un bien general se habían recuperado.
Madurando como usuario
Una vez que se estabilizó la nueva blockchain y que empecé a sacar las pocas ganancias que había logrado en Steem realmente me decidí a comprometerme con la comunidad con miras de lograr un crecimiento más rápido y sostenido de mí perfíl. Pero como ya saben, sigo dependiendo de mi tiempo libre para poder crear contenido, afortunadamente existen diferentes comunidades y también se premia la curación de contenido.
Una de mis primeras resoluciones fué la de reinvertir el poco Steem que había ganado completamente en Hive, así que casi duplique mis HP y logré tener una mejor presencia dentro de la plataforma. La segunda fué realmente dedicarme a curar contenido con nuevos hábitos que pudieran maximizar mis ganancias, también pude unirme a @tipu, y así tener una opción más de generar ganancias y ayudar a los creadores y que tuvieran una mayor recompensa por su contenido. Pero la más importante fué sin duda empezar a ver a Hive como una inversión a largo plazo, así que empecé a invertir dinero cada vez que pudiera y así incrementar mi stack para poder obtener mayores ganancias.
Por último, a partir de este año, he empezado a escribir más y más seguido, con la finalidad de lograr un poco más de visibilidad dentro de la comunidad como creador, curador y así lograr más rápido mis objetivos. Atrás quedaron los tiempos donde buscaba el dinero fácil y ahora busco ayudar a creadores y generar contenido y al mismo tiempo aumentar mis ganancias.
Vamos a resumir
Después de esta pequeña historia sobre mis cuatro años dentro la plataforma, me gustaría compartirles lo que considero la guía al éxito dentro de Hive.
Crea la mayor cantidad de contenido que puedas
Esta es la principal forma de generar ganancias dentro de la plataforma, así que si creas la suficiente cantidad de contenido, y si además es contenido de calidad, empezaras a generar una base de seguidores y a la vez de ganancias.
Interactúa con otros creadores de contenido
No sólo vota contenido, sino que también comenta el contenido que votas y trata de interactuar con los demás usuarios. Seguramente muchos de ellos no tardaran en visitar tu perfil y quizá logres obtener uno o dos seguidores más.
Únete a alguna de las comunidades
No importa el tipo de contenido que crees, seguramente ya hay una comunidad con usuarios que les gusta compartir el mismo tipo de contenido que a tí. Únete y comparte tu contenido en las comunidades, así tendrás una mayor posibilidad de exposición de tú contenido.
Reinvierte tus ganancias
Trata de reinvertir la mayor cantidad de las ganancias de tus post. Recuerda que mientras mayor sea el stack de HP mayor será las ganancias por votar contenido. Si está dentro de tus posibilidades, trata de invertir un poco de dinero cada vez que tengas la posibilidad, en poco tiempo empezaras a ver una mayor recompensa.

It's been four years since I joined this community (well, it used to be another one and it was called differently ...), and the truth is that looking back, I am a bit sad at how little progress I have made.
Welcome friends to another #RandomPost. Today I would like to direct this post to all of you new users and those who have not yet dared to join this great community.
Tell you about the four years that I have spent on these two platforms, Steem and Hive, how I have lived the experience from the perspective of a neophyte in this world and maybe give them some advice on what I´ve learned from falls and bad moves.
So without further ado, I hope you stay with me until the end of the post.
First a bit of history
This adventure began four years ago, during a sleepless night, when my restless mind wondered, how to make money easily with cryptocurrencies? Nothing that a question to Saint Google couldn't solve, right?
After reading maybe fifty articles and maybe watching a few videos, I came across a link to a blog on Steemit.com. I don't really remember the post or who the author of that post was, but it basically talked about the possibility of earning cryptocurrencies by doing what many of us already do. Share content on the network.
Of course, at first I was incredulous, since my "domesticated" mind did not understand how someone could make money by liking or sharing images, videos or simply writing without having intrusive advertising or annoying banners everywhere. But after a few days I decided to create an account.
After browsing the site for a few months and understanding the basic dynamics of the site (read, like and if you can write ...) I decided to create my first post.
The truth is that I couldn't believe it, with that first post I had made just over $ 9.00 dlls!
And that's how this adventure began.
Collaborating and contributing to the ecosystem
After some very active months on the platform uploading content and giving feedback to everything I read, I found a very interesting initiative from @anomadsoul, creating the first trail for the Mexican community.
Basically what @anomadsoul said in that post was that the Spanish-speaking community was a minority within the platform, but that there were already communities that were pushing and supporting content created exclusively in Spanish in a very strong way like @cervantes, and that He wanted to replicate the same, but at a regional level, a community exclusively for Mexican creators.
It was that on June 15, 2017, the first 100% Mexican community was born on our blockchain, @ mexico-trail.
I joined the curation team from the beginning, although the truth is that we were always only two people in the project, @anomadsoul and myself. We were both in charge of searching, voting for content and uploading posts daily where we shared the content of Mexican creators. Little by little support from some whales such as @acidyo began to arrive, and later from the new community that was starting, the @ocd project, which gave us the possibility of increasing our presence within the platform.
It was four months where we worked day and night curating content, creating dynamics, and mainly, supporting Mexican creators to grow within the platform.
Unfortunately the project ended up being abandoned, on my part I had more work in the offline world and it was simply impossible for me to continue supporting and uploading content to my blog. But I still have that beautiful memory and the satisfaction of having supported some creators, new and old, even with a small push and that feeling of belonging that I had not had until now was born in me.
I was part of a community and he owned the community.
Periods of absence and returns to the blog and the community
I always depend on the free time I have to upload content on the blog and join projects or dynamics within the community, after all, that offline work is the one that still supports my family and me (from moment ...; p), so the blog has been for me a hobby and a place to distract myself from the chaos of the real world.
The above has caused that I have had periods of inactivity within the platform of a few weeks and even several months without uploading anything or giving a single vote, but whenever the workload decreased or that I managed to accommodate my time, I returned to upload content.
What a surprise to see that users much newer and older acquaintances had managed to grow so much in those periods of absence, some even doubling or tripling their earnings.
But that's life, if you want to grow steadily you have to be continuously active, no matter how little you can grow, always stay active within the platform.
Steem Alliance and community governance
Another of the projects in which I got involved was in the @steemaliance, more specifically in the Spanish-speaking community, @steemalliance-es, where I served as a translator in order to make the Spanish-speaking community known about the ideas and objectives of the project.
For those who do not remember, the Steem Alliance intended to create a governing body within the blockchain made up of the community and representatives of Steemit Inc. with the sole objective of accelerating internal development (dapps, developers, Steemit Inc) and seek the expansion and massive adoption of Steemit.
In the end, and despite good ideas and intentions, the work that many of us did with proposals and others was relegated by the arrival of an actor who promised us entry into the big leagues of cryptocurrencies and mass adoption of our community.
Promises, uncertainty and the fight for our community
It all started at the end of 2019, within the community the rumor of a possible merger or sale began to circulate, in general, the feeling was very positive and many of us hoped that, finally, our community would reach the major leagues of the cryptocurrency world.
Although, it was all a matter of rumors, on February 14, 2020 the sale of Steemit Inc. was officially announced by Justin Sun, the price of Steem doubled in the following hours and what seemed like a great deal where We all won, it quickly turned into a fight for the survival of the community, decentralization and our investment.
The community rebellion
This time I'm not going to go into more detail about all the events that happened in those days. For those who want to refresh their memory or want to know everything that happened here I leave this Decrypt post where they will be able to know all the events that happened in those days.
In the end the only thing Sun achieved was what no one had achieved up to that point. The community found a catalyst in Sun's actions and ways of acting and ended up coming together in a single movement in search of asserting his voice and respecting the decentralized essence of the blockchain.
A battle for control of the community government began, but in the end, the intervention of some ill-informed exchanges turned absolute control in favor of Sun and the community decided to hard fork and start from scratch.
Hive is born
Once the hardfork that ended in the creation of Hive was made, a time of uncertainty began, for many of us, since we did not really know if the new blockchain could be maintained, if we would have enough time to get our Steem earnings or if the community was really going to migrate to their new home.
In the end, it resulted in a migration of the vast majority of users, dapps, communities and projects to the new blockchain. The most important thing for me is that it had been shown that the community could fight and join forces in search of a single goal, the feeling of belonging intensified and in general the desire to build a truly decentralized blockchain and leave the bad habits of the past. in search of a general good they had recovered.
Maturing as a user
Once the new blockchain stabilized and I started to make the little profit that I had made in Steem, I really decided to engage with the community in order to achieve a faster and more sustained growth of my profile. But as you know, I still depend on my free time to create content, fortunately there are different communities and content curation is also rewarded.
One of my first resolutions was to reinvest the little Steem that I had completely earned in Hive, so I almost doubled my HP and managed to have a better presence within the platform. The second was really dedicating myself to curating content with new habits that could maximize my earnings, I was also able to join @tipu, and thus have one more option to generate profits and help creators and have a greater reward for their content. But the most important was without a doubt starting to see Hive as a long-term investment, so I started investing money whenever I could and thus increase my stack in order to obtain greater profits.
Finally, starting this year, I have started to write more and more often, in order to achieve a little more visibility within the community as a creator, curator and thus achieve my goals faster. Gone are the times where I was looking for easy money and now I am looking to help creators and generate content and at the same time increase my profits.
Let's summarize
After this little story about my four years on the platform, I would like to share with you what I consider to be the guide to success within Hive.
Create as much content as you can
This is the main way to generate profits within the platform, so if you create a sufficient amount of content, and if it is also quality content, you will start to generate a base of followers and at the same time profits.
Interact with other content creators
Not only do you vote on content, but also comment on the content you vote on and try to interact with other users. Surely many of them will soon visit your profile and you may be able to get one or two more followers.
Join any of the communities
No matter what type of content you create, surely there is already a community with users who like to share the same type of content as you. Join and share your content in the communities, so you will have a greater possibility of exposure of your content.
Reinvest your earnings
Try to reinvest as much of your post earnings as possible. Remember that the higher the HP stack, the higher the earnings for voting content. If it is within your means, try to invest a little money every time you have the possibility, in a short time you will begin to see a greater reward.

Una buena anécdota, seguramente muchos acá podrán sentirse identificados. Al menos yo también inicié en Steem, hace tres años, buscando una forma de dinero fácil. Ya con el tiempo entendí que el dinero fácil no existe.
