It is easy to get caught up in the astronomical returns that we are seeing in the DeFi craze. Tokens that were priced at a few dollars are suddenly worth thousands. This all takes place in the span of a month or two.
That said, there is great value in looking at the slow and steady approach to things. This is where SPInvest excels. From the beginning, the focus was never to provide a "get rich quick" scheme. Instead, the concentration was on making sound decisions with the resources available in an effort to develop a portfolio that can generate strong returns over time.
We see a baseline of 20% annually which is the all-star end of the traditional investing world. Those who are able to attain these levels for any length of time are investing superstars. When we look at the level that most money managers attain, it is easy to see how this is often 5-10 times what they can produce.
Of course, this is not the traditional financial world. In cryptocurrency, we see many opportunities to far exceed that level. In fact, in its first year of existence, the return on the initial open of SPI was over 80%. It is looking like Year 2 is going to even surpass that.
The latest idea, @eddie-earner, is an income token that allows for people to set aside some of their portfolio and earn a steady, but growing, return over the years. Here again, it is not likely to result in getting wealthy, but nobody can scoff at a 12% annual return. The pre-sale just closed and over 5,000 tokens were sold. HIVE raised through that ended up being powered up, making the holdings of SPInvest even greater.

Here we see the power of what is taking place. Opportunities for generating returns come in many forms. Creativity and innovation are what is leading the way. SPInvest is committed to offer community members greater options when it comes to increasing their wealth. Each project benefits the overall SPI ecosystem, thus expanding the value for the token holders.
SPInvest also became one of the largest holders of the BRO token. This is a fund that is similar to SPInvest in that it is using resources garnered to provide a return. They are also coupling the idea of community and development to assist in created outsized returns.
The club bought the first batch of BRO tokens for 2 HIVE each. They are now selling for 3 HIVE and, rumors are, there will be another round at 4 HIVE. We like to see the appreciation in the price of the token but what really excites long term growth is the dividend that is being paid out. Our calculations have the annual figure coming in at over 33% percent. If this persists, the tokens will be effectively paid off in 3 years.
At that point, everything is a bonus.
All this exemplifies the mindset behind the SPInvest club. The opportunities are appearing before our eyes and many of the club members are taking advantage of them. It is best to remember that the SPI token is no longer available for sale from the club. All tokens are on H-E meaning open market purchase is vital.
Club members are going to receive more SPI since the dividends are now being paid in that as opposed to HIVE. Thus, each SPI holder will end up with more SPI by the end of the year.

Active involvement coupled with passive growth opportunities is what SPInvest is all about. Over the next year, we will continue to consider new ideas as a means of expanding the wealth tied to this club. Each token holder shares in the value creation based upon his or her stake in the whole. Presently, the "book value" of the club is not much different from what is being traded on the open market.
With more ideas comes increased profit potential. This is something that we hope can eventually benefit thousands of people.
