Explosive Diemonshark weekly battle challenge

This week's challenge is to show off a battle where we used Diemonshark.

October 2022 3rd week's event.
You can check out this Share Your Battle link if you also want to participate.

Ruleset:
Explosive Weaponry
Stampede
Mana Cap: 42
Elements: Water, Life, Dragon

Blast ability does additional damage (divided by 2, rounded up) to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.
Since everyone have the Blast ability, players would want to outspeed, evade, negate the blast damage, or hit in the middle.
These are the abilities very useful for this ruleset:
Swiftness
Slow
Blind
Dodge
Flying
Reflection Shield
Opportunity
Scattershot
Snipe
Taunt

When a monster with Trample ability kills its target, it will attack the next target in line.
It doesn't work when you killed their last position monster.
This ruleset gives Trample a boost by allowing Trample to trigger unlimited times as long as it kills an enemy. If your monster with this ability kills pos1 monster, it will be triggered so it will attack the pos2 monster next. If pos2 monster is killed, it will trigger again to kill pos3 monster.. and so on.
In a Trample ruleset, a monster with Trample can kill the whole enemy line-up in 1 round.

Summoner: Daria Dragonscale

Abilities:
All friendly monsters gain +1 Melee damage
It's a Dragon summoner so it can also summon monsters from another element, so I paired it with Water.

Daria Dragonscale

Pos 1 Monster: Diemonshark

Abilities:
Trample - When this Monster hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team
Enrage - Gets +50% Melee attack and Speed when health is damaged

Diemonshark

Pos 2 Monster: Tide Biter

Abilities:
Reach - Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team
Reflection Shield - This Monster is immune to all indirect, or reflected damage. That means that it will not take damage from Blast, Thorns, Return Fire, or Magic Reflect

Tide Biter

Pos 3 Monster: Ruler of the Seas

Abilities:
Blast - Does additional damage (divided by 2, rounded up) to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster. This is useless in this ruleset though since everyone is already given Blast.
Swiftness - All friendly Monsters have +1 Speed
Silence - Reduces -1 the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters

Ruler of the Seas

Pos 4 Monster: Spirit Miner

Abilities:
Dodge - Has an additional +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
Swiftness - All friendly Monsters have +1 Speed
Blind - gives +15% chance of evading from all enemy monsters. This debuff can be removed from the enemy monster by removing their blindfold. 🤣

Spirit Miner

Pos 5 Monster: Deeplurker

Abilities:
Opportunity - Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health
Poison - Attacks has a 50% chance to apply poison, which does 2 damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied

Deeplurker

Pos 6 Monster: Wave Brood

Abilities:
Taunt - All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to)
Close Range - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position
Void - Magic attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage

Wave Brood

Did your strategy work?

My strategy worked. I was able to divert most of their attacks using my Wave Brood's Taunt. My Deeplurker's opportunity got to eliminate enemy's Tide Biter which blocks the blast damage. With the help of those 2, my Diemonshark was able to drop as much damage as it can.

What will you try differently next time?

My own Diemonshark isn't max level yet so I rented it in Peakmonsters
I made a mistake for renting only a level 6 Diemonshark.
I should have rented a level 7. My level 5 Epic Summoner can summon level 7 rare. That Retaliate of Diemonshark would have given me more advantage.
You can check out this article on how to rent by @peak-monsters.

Do you like Diemonshark?

I like Diemonshark. It deals a lot of damage but not so much that it still works even though my enemy has a Force Field ability.

Hope you learned something from my game and how I came up with this lineup.
What would you have done differently given the same ruleset, mana cap and active elements? Let us know by dropping a comment.
