Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.
Last week's prize was this Undead Minotaur card.

Another Giveaway
I am happy to announce that the card for this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway is another out-of-print, original Reward Edition Highland Archer.
The Highland Archer was one of the first monsters introduced as part of the original set of Reward Edition cards. At the time there were not too many monsters with ranged attacks so a neutral archer was a nice addition to ones deck. But as more and more of these cards were claimed there was soon an oversupply and the value of the card plummeted. Not surprisingly these cards were often burned for their DEC value which was more than double their market value. Even though there are a lot more monsters with more powerful range attacks now, the Highland Archer can still be a welcome addition to most decks due to their inexpensive cost and versatility of a Neutral Splinter card.
Since these cards have been out of print for a while they have risen in price significantly. The cheapest Level 1 Highland Archer card is currently almost $0.07 on the Splinterlands market. That means it is worth over four times the 15 DEC you would get from burning the card. I don't know about you, but I'm glad I kept my Highland Archer cards safe and didn't burn any of them.
If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add a Highland Archer to your deck, then you should get in on this giveaway. The Highland Archer card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time.
If this Highland Archer card doesn't fit into your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill to achieve victory with it, you can always send it to the burn chamber and extract the 15 Dark Energy Crystals locked within, but you'd be much better off trying to sell it in the market.

Only 1 entry per person. The contest will end at the 7 day point of payout for this post, when I will use a random comment selector to choose the winner.
