What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a Play2Earn game, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, with multiple ways to capitalise and make money, real money, by playing it or trading in it. You can start earning as soon as you buy a Spellbook ($10) getting SPS tokens and NFT monster cards via daily quests and season quests (every 2 weeks). Sometimes you may even win 5 cards packs with your rewards. You can also get rewards from staking the SPS you got from rewards, or by owning a node licence (4 Vouchers and 22 SPS daily this week), or from owning Nightmare packs (the Tower Defence game) or Land NFTs. Bonus, if you stake SPS, starting from yesterday, for a whole year, you will receive daily GLS tokens airdropped to use on the Genesis League game.
You can buy still Chaos Legion packs with 4$, using just DEC, for a 45% discount right now (something like $2.10 per pack instead of $4). Even then, if you want to get the extra packs, you still need vouchers, but just for the bonus packs. You can buy Riftwatchers packs for $5 in SPS and 1 Vouchers. An awesome hint from a really good player (not me), if you open your packs after the Legendary summoners are introduced, you have a small chance to get them from the packs. It was announced that Lands NFT are coming in the 1st quarter of 2023 now, with the new Roadmap proposed by Splinterlands. Just check this awesome page about what are the Lands supposed to do.
The Regal Peryton is a Rare Earth unit, costing 5 Mana, and at max level 8 will have 3 Magic damage, 7 Speed and 8 Health. Her unique skill is Flying, increasing the change to avoid Melee and Ranged attacks. This is a decent card, that I even use as tank on an Armored Up ruleset with low mana cap, or in combination with Queen Mycelia (+2 Armor). In combo with the Obsidian summoner, with be boosted with +1 Magic Damage, being lethal to low health cards.

So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:
Mana Limit: 24
Rulesets: Aim true (ranged and melee attacks always hit) and Lost Legendaries (no legendary card allowed)
Teams:
Mine - Summoner: Obsidian, boosting magic +1, with Pelacor Mercenary as tank, with Heal and Retaliate, Regal Periton second as back up and magic user, Goblin Psychic to heal, decrease opponent magic with Silence and stop Healing with Affliction , Acid Shooter with Scattershot, Poison and Cripple, and the Chicken last, to act as my shield on the back.
Opponent - Summoner: Quid Duff adding Piercing to all, ignoring the Armor, Exploding Dwarf as main tank with Blast, Retaliate and Trample, followed by a Giant Roc, using Reach to attack from the second position and Trample, a Goblin Shaman reducing my Health and Speed by -1, a Flame Imp boosting his friends with +1 Speed, a Lava Spider with Snare, Snipe and Poison, and the Ant Miners last, with Shield and Scavenger.
Round 1 - I was thinking I got some chances to win, but then something happen. The exploding Dwarf hit first, then my Mercenary attacked, only for the Dwarf to retaliate once more before dying, killing my tank and leaving the Peryton with 1 Health. The perfect combo of Piercing, Weaken health from the Shaman and Blast from Dwarf, took two of my best cards and from then, I was playing a losing game. The Peryton died, the Psychic too, and the Shooter was taken out by Poison. At the end of the round 1, only my chicken was still standing (the irony!).
Round 2 - The chicken also died. End of the match!
Star of the game - The Exploding Dwarf, doing some impressive damage before dying (1 Health, I know)
