Hey DJ ... spin that wheel - Portal Spinner Battle Challenge

in #splinterlands2 years ago

Another week in the ++Splinterlands++, another week of Chaos Legion mayhem! But is not always death and decay, sometimes the battle takes place on the dance floor!

Why on the dance floor? Because I am old bro, and when I hear spinning I don't think about finger-spinners ... I go straight OG with Teenage Ninja Turles! Hey DJ ... spin that wheel and let's battle in skills!

The Portal Spinner is a rare ranged Chaos Legion card from the Life Splinter. It costs 4 mana and has the Scattershot ability, the attack hitting random enemies. The card is not great, with 3 Health Points, 1 Armor, 2 Speed and 2 Ranged damage.

The Portal Spinners are the DJs of the Cult of the Rift, spinning vinyls and portals while harnessing rift magic to cast deadly spells. When they don't animate crowds with DeadMou5, Portal Spinners siphon life magic from their surroundings to open mini-rifts in the fabric of reality.

They can use the portal to travel between realms, but this was more dangerous then going sober at Glastonbury! They evolved the disco skills and now they simply use the portals to launch chaotic and random attacks against their enemies.

**Spin it until you win it! **I was ready for a treat when I seen 38 mana cap, plus Odd Ones Out and Silenced Summoners as battle rules. Only the monsters with odd mana cost could be used while the summoners didn't give any buff!

Mother Khala: +1 Health

Disintegrator: Main Tank with Demoralize

Truthspeaker: Support with Protect

Sand Worm: OP Melee with Sneak

Djinn Renova: Caster with Strenghten

Scavo Hireling: Support with Repair

Portal Spinner: Ranged with Scattershot

The opponent planned a quick victory, boosting the melee attacks with Tarsa. Living Lava as main tank, a Lava Launcher and little monsters to hit behind the tank were a good selection. Unfortunately, I pumped up my team with armor and health!

Round one was all about taking down armor and taking an early lead. The plan worked and not only my monsters remained unscratched, but I also took one of the enemies down.

More grinding in round two, and the Living Lava survived. The Disintegrator stayed full health, as the Scavo Hireling kept repairing the armor.

It was round three that turned the tide in my favor, as the Living Lava couldn't handle Renova's magic. Meanwhile, the Sand Worm had a snake for breakfast!

The Portal Spinner had too much fun and forgot to pay attention to flying swords, my first causality in this battle came in the forth round. Nothing happened in round five, as the battle stayed contested.

The Lava Launcher was taken down, and the enemy Disintegrator followed. Only a spark of magic was needed to win the battle, and Renova done the job! It may look like an easy battle, finishing with 5 monsters alive, but it was the Disintegrator and the Hireling that kept everyone safe! See the full battle here!
