The story that surrounds the Legendary Summoner of Death, beyond his dark appearance, results in a character full of kindness and wisdom. That is why I wanted to focus on a small story/anecdote that occurred to me and that could have happened to Waka at some point, always from the fantasy that my art manifests when creating these fanarts.
La historia que rodea al Invocador Legendario de la Muerte, más allá de su apariencia tenebrosa resulta en un personaje lleno de bondad y sabiduría. por ello me quise enfocar en una pequeña historia/anécdota que se me ocurrió y que le pudo haber pasado en algún momento a Waka siempre desde la fantasía que manifiesta mi arte al momento de crear estos fanarts.
Memories
The atmosphere felt heavy within the depths of the swamp, Waka felt strangely moved and nostalgic remembering his youthful years hunting those magical and rare creatures that would shape him as a man; he snorted at the extravagant way his people rushed children to get that prize and the cost it might entail, his scars were a reminder of it.
The further he went, a thick mist began to cover everything making it difficult for him to see; he had the feeling that something was not right, as if someone were watching him through the funeral trees that towered over him, he stopped and everything was completely silent. Waka rushed to say a spell but was unable when he felt an out-of-this-world presence take over his body, a stabbing pain from his insides tearing at him and his precious skull necklace start to burning his chest, one of his arm engulfed in purple flames began to change shape while listening to the deafening screams of the surrounding souls, never before had he felt such magnitude of evil at the same time that little by little he felt that he was losing his own consciousness.
With the strength he had left, he took the necklace with the other hand and inaudibly was able to pronounce the words that would free him from that horror, that creature that had appeared out of nowhere disappeared without a trace, Waka was still kneeling trying to control his heavy breathing without understand what happened to him, that swamp hid something evil, with which he did not want to face again...
EspañolEl ambiente se sentía pesado dentro las profundidades del pantano, Waka se sintió extrañamente conmovido y nostálgico recordando sus años de juventud en cacería de esas criaturas mágicas y raras que lo iban a formar como un hombre; soltó un bufido por la manera tan extravagante de su gente en apresurar a los niños a conseguir ese premio y el costo que podría conllevar, sus cicatrices le daban un recordatorio de ello.
Mientras más se adentraba, una espesa neblina lo comenzó a cubrir dificultando su vista, tenía la sensación de que algo no andaba bien, como si lo estuviesen observando entre los árboles fúnebres que se alzaban sobre él, se detuvo en seco y todo quedó en completo silencio. Waka se apresuró a decir un hechizo pero fue incapaz cuando sintió como una presencia fuera de este mundo se apoderaba de su cuerpo, un dolor punzante desde sus entrañas lo desgarraban y su preciado collar de calavera le quemaba el pecho, su brazo envuelto en llamas púrpuras comenzó a cambiar de forma mientras escuchaba los gritos ensordecedores de las almas que le rodeaban, nunca antes había sentido tal magnitud de maldad a su vez que poco a poco sentía que perdía su propia conciencia.
Con lo poco que le quedaba de fuerza tomó con su otra mano el collar e inaudiblemente pudo pronunciar las palabras que lo liberarían de ese horror, aquella criatura que había aparecido de la nada se esfumo sin dejar rastro, Waka seguía arrodillado con la respiración agitada sin entender lo que le sucedió, aquel pantano escondía algo maligno, con lo que no se quería volver a enfrentar...
