New Splinterlands Rule Set! Are You Not Entertained?

With today's update, Splinterlands has added a new rule set! The rule set is "Are You Not Entertained?" which allows players to play one additional Gladiator card in a match.

What does this mean for Splinterlands gameplay?

You Can Potentially Use 3 Gladiator Cards in Brawls

With this rule set, you can use two gladiator cards instead of one in brawls.

However, if you get this rule set and use a summoner with the Conscript Ability, you will be able to play up to 3 gladiator cards in a brawl match!

Using 2 Gladiator Cards in Ranked and Tournament Battles

Just as in brawls, if you get this rule set and use a summoner with conscript, you'll be able to play 2 gladiator cards in a ranked or tournament battle!

Closing Thoughts

The new rule set is going to be interesting to see in brawls and ranked play. I think this will make utilizing the dispel ability even more important to remove bloodlust from enemy monsters.

Do you have any strategies in mind for taking advantage of this new rule set?

Sort:

Dispel definitely gets more value as more monsters with bloodlust potentially end up on the battlefield. One thing I would avoid is playing small/weak monsters in this ruleset. If you are expecting gladiators with bloodlust, then you don't want to play monsters that will die quickly, so you should avoid playing fiends and chickens in these rulesets.

That is a good point too. Depending on what splinters you are facing. For example life splinter doesn't have a sneak or opportunity gladiator so you might get away with playing fiends or chicken for sneak protect in a life only match. But overall I agree with your point, don't want to put those low health monsters in places where they feed bloodlust!
