Hey everyone.
It's been a great summer for sport with the world cup, cricket, rugby, athletics and all the rest. We've made a strong start to building the sportsblock community and getting the first round of bugs and features out of the way.
We have launched predictions, contests, fantasy leagues and more which is not bad for a team that is just starting out.
With that said we have a long way to go to create our vision. It won't be instant and we will need help from everybody here to help us improve and grow the sit and the community.
Nothing spectacular but everyone who can create content and enter the contests is helping grow and sustain our project.
Token price isn't our end goal is just one piece of the puzzle and one that comes later in the plan.
For now we are trying to grow our HP which is much more important to build our community and grow together.
Vote on the good quality sports content.
That is why we we have a beneficiary on posts and not only posts but sportsbites too.
That is why we try to vote up as many quality sportsbites as possible and the best thing that everybody else can do is the same.
As the sportsblock team we have almost 150K HP and want to use it to support our community and to support sports content.
That is why it's a great help to vote on the sports blogs and the sportsbites.
It will mean even bigger votes for our community down the line as we continue to grow this account in times to come.
We are not guaranteeing votes and there needs to be effort and interest in the content that we vote up so make sure that it's all sports related and as interesting as possible. We do not want a voting circle, we want sports users to support sports content and grow our user base.
Share "SPORTSBITES to "SNAPS"
This is a little feature that can be useful to create a lot more exposure on Hive.
When you create a sportsbite on our site it's very easy to share it to the wider hive audience.
On the bottom right of your sportsbite there is the standard share button.
You have the usual twitter and external social options but the most important one to use right now is "Share to Snaps" a small but important bump that you can give to your content and that brings our community into the view of the wider Hive community.
It shows up on the main "SNAPS" feed and brings eyes and hopefully clicks to our main website which is what we need most for now. Building any online project is a slow grind so every little bit helps from our existing userbase.
I would love to see every prediction shared to sportsbites and then to snaps. Get as many people participating as possible. That will only make it more enjoyable for everybody and speed up our growth.
So the main things for now are,
- Lots of engagement.
- Vote for good sports content.
- Share content to "SNAPS" from the main site.
If everybody can get behind those three things it will be a great help to our team and our project as a whole.

I'll have to try and get my account set up better for curation. I usually do most of that stuff from my main account, so my other account lags behind.
It's easy these days.
You can set up autovotes on peakd or even trail @niallon11 where i vote 90% sports content.
Or trail your sports account with your main account. Lots of ways to go about it.
