TIL That You Can Buy a Defibrillator on Amazon

So as the title says, I just checked Amazon and you can indeed buy a defibrillator there. The cheapest one is $1700 so it can't just be an impulse buy (see what I did there?).

Why would I be in the market for this medical device? Well it is Sunday so that means the Bears decide to give me multiple heart attacks again. This time they did it all the way from Minneapolis Minnesota. Like many of the Bears games of late, the Bears were dominating fro about three fourths of the game. They looked incredible on defense while intercepting two passes and coming damn near close to another one or two.

Going into the fourth quarter the Bears looked in control with a 16 -3 lead. But, as always, the big problem was that even though the Bears were able to move the ball between the 20s, they kept on stalling in the Red Zone and had to settle for three field goals. Because I have watched the NFL for half a decade... and I have a brain, I know settling for field goals are a recipe for failure.

Sure enough, in the fourth quarter, the Vikings scored two touchdowns. And since math is math and never lies, scoring three times when two of them are touchdowns is better than scoring four times when three of them are field goals. yet again the Bears allowed their opponent to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the fourth quarter. With just 50 seconds left, the Vikings scored a go ahead touchdown. It doesn't help that the drive before, the Bears missed an easy field goal that would have put them up by two scores. But this is the Bears and they are determined to give me a heart attack, so of course they went down (not that kind) by one with fifty seconds left in the game.

Luckily, part of the plan of giving me a heart attack involves the Bears doing exciting things on the last possession of the game. This time they decided to let their special teams drive the roller coaster. After taking the lead, the Vikings kicked off. The Bears return guy Duvernay ran the kickoff back 56 yards to put the Bears in excellent position.

Because they needed to work my last nerve, the Bears ran three running plays for exactly 9 yards. Not 10 yards... because that would have been a first down that would have allowed them to get even closer for a field goal. But 9 yards was the exact least amount they could get to drive me insane.

The Bears called a timeout with four seconds left and trotted their kicker Carlos Santos onto the field. This was the same Carlos Santos who missed a crucial 45 yard field goal about eight minutes before.

Santos lined up and... nailed the 48 yard field goal to win the game as the clock (and my heart) expired.

I love these Bears wins... by my god my old heart can't take many more of these.

Better than my Lions loss. Ugh. I am glad I didn't stay up to watch that crap show. It seems a lot of teams were struggling on offense yesterday. That game in Madrid looked like it was going to be a snooze fest until closer to the end.

Lions are still a good team. But the NFL is wild. All comes down to being healthy at the right time.

Yeah, I don't think they are done yet even though they are currently out of the running for the playoffs. I've never been much of a Goff fan. I think if they had a more mobile QB it would make a huge difference.

Well, if you have the $1700, it's a good buy for you, my friend, since the Bears don't know how to win any other way than with drama and always on the last play of the game. Honestly, I'm happy for you, even though your team is struggling, they keep winning. The time for more comfortable victories will come, but what's really important is getting used to winning, and they're doing very well at that.

Being a Bears fan must feel like a heart test every week. That last minute win sounded intense. I can imagine the stress and excitement all at once.

I can't say enough about the matches that really prove why being a Bears fan is a roller coaster ride of both hope and disappointment.

I can totally feel this.Being a Bears fan really is an emotional ride. One minute you think they’ll lose, the next they win at the last second. It’s funny but also stressful. That defibrillator joke feels way too real. Glad they pulled off the win in the end.

Well actually there have been people having heart attacks during sport events as spectators, so the idea is not that remote... I still dunno how much reliable would be an Amazon defibrillator lol

@hanshotfirst,I can see you are a strong fan of the CHICAGO BEARS and a lover of NFL, sending you a very strong 💜❤️💜 😂,thanks for updating.

Winning is the most important thing, my friend, to keep building confidence and becoming a winning team. There's a lot of work to do, but it's better to do it by winning than with a loss where they practically had it in the bag with their great performance in the first three quarters. That "defibrillator" idea is great because there will surely be more games like this, full of drama and excitement until the very last second. So go Bears, our favorite team in the NFL! I hope I can get one of their jerseys to show off.

I like good people in situations where there is a change in the last few minutes and the winning team loses and the losing team wins, only then do the people sitting on the ground become happier

People with heart problems should not watch such matches at all because such situations repeatedly cause tension.

When I read that bears give you multiple heart attacks, I thought you mean it literally. Where I live, they do give you heart attacks, especially if you live at the outskirts of the city. We get regular allerts about bears roaming around freely about 1.5km away from where I live 😀
