RE: It's time to start paying attention to Steem

in #steem6 years ago

This post was excellent. Really details a lot of the strengths and weaknesses of Steem/Steemit.

I find that one of the larger issues with the platform and its growth is a result of such useful information staying on the platform; it often doesn't get thrown out into the public domain through advertising and word-of-text posts on other websites enough.

While Steem is host to a lot of really useful DApps, most of them aren't innovative enough to really attract people, similar to how CryptoKitties did. The DApps we have are more useful alternatives to existing services that the average person would stick with.

It's as if the tools have been offered, but that breakthrough creation that really has people flocking to it is yet to be created.

I think several of the DApps listed in the post are quire innovative. Plus, once SMTs launch - I believe the number of entrepreneurs and developers building on Steem will go up exponentially.

Oh yeah, there's definitely a lot of innovation; I just feel we haven't yet had that one DApp that just perfectly fits the Steem blockchain just yet and really hits the public.

In a way, that just shows how much of an infant this whole thing is -- it's exciting, really. A lot of things can happen real soon.
