Lesson 109: life in abundance

Greetings brothers. I share a new lesson centered on life in abundance that Christ came to offer humanity, an abundant life on earth and eternal in the heavens.

We all know that Jesus, the Savior, came to restore the quality and potential of human life.

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come to have life, and to have it in abundance. John 10:10 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960).

By giving yourself completely to God, God Himself gives himself totally to you. This is the great message of the Bible.

The "total being" of God, that is, for his own person implies a well-being and prosperity based on the Bible: the real possibility of health for his whole being: (body, mind, emotions, relationships) and satisfaction of material needs And, above all, divine prosperity bears fruit of eternal life. Reflect on this. What else can we aspire to?

Jesus said he would come to give life; not only ordinary existence, but life in fullness, abundance and prosperity (3 Jn 2). On the other hand, the enemy (Satan) comes only to steal, kill and destroy. The line is clearly drawn. On the one hand, God offers goodness, life and "much" of what is necessary for life; and on the other, the enemy of our souls, who comes to deprive us of God's blessings, to oppress our bodies for diseases and accidents, and to destroy everything we love and appreciate.

It is important to understand that Christ came to earth in defense of life. Through his words and actions, he opposed anything, strength or person that could diminish him. Similarly, he calls us to do everything in our power to preserve and extend the lives of those around us. In addition to evangelizing, we must work to reduce poverty, disease, hunger, injustice and ignorance.

Beyond his defense of life, Jesus also came to free us from death and offer us life in abundance. Through his death and resurrection, Christ has opened a new dimension of life for all mankind, so that "all things" can be made new (2 Cor. 5:17).
