MetaDefender is an online service that allows you to scan files, file HASH, IP Addres to see if you are safe to use them. The site is using a list of anti-virus softwares to scan your file and gives you a report at the end that tells you how many of the given anti-virus found your file to be suspicious.
If you ever download any file that you are afraid to open, upload it here before double clicking on it.
