Lilium Jet is the world's first electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) jet which means it can take off and land like a helicopter but fly like a jet.
The VTOL ability is supported by the jet's 12 flaps (each flap has 3 electric jet engines) that tilt vertically during lift-off allowing the engines to lift the plane and then once sufficient altitude is reached the flaps tilt horizontally to accelerate the plane.
It reaches a top speed of 300 km/h with a range of 300 km.
Lilium is still not available for sale however the company has managed to succesfully test it last year in April of 2017 as you can see in the video.

We are getting closer and closer to a world where each of us has the ability to fly our own plane and also easily move from place to place not only by land anymore. I've seen more and more of this style product and also the hover crafts and amphibian style crafts. Exciting times for the future of transportation
This electric jet is interesting product for me. It has awesome technology and performance. But flying time is short and it looks like need to more time to commercialize.
electric vertical jet? wow, this is really a revolutionary product for sure. although I will not have chances to ride at the moment, but I do think in future it will be one of the commercial line product

Pros:
-No more traffic jam
-Run by electricity
-Sci-fi time has came

-If there are any case of faulty, gravity takes it down

Awesome how far technology has come! I really do find it interesting if you think 50 years back everybody would have laughed if you would tell them how far technology will go in just that 50 years. Also I am really astonished about that 300 km range! Really awesome hunt @direwolf!

This is the name of the future is now, 300Km / hour, low noise and all electricity, all close to perfect in the hands of the best engineering, nice and keep hunting.

We learned to watch these scenes from the aircraft carrier, but as a cab ...
Autonomy of 300 km, speed 300 kmh, electric drive (no pollution and no noise) excellent performance for first performance.
Vertical take-off is always attractive.
So if it runs perfectly without flickering and torture and noise it's really a top-notch device.
I suppose that from the best materials are made and that security measures are at the highest level.
If is the vertical take-off means that you can get as a real taxi at a slightly larger parking lot, and for a few moments you can travel without a break at a speed of 300 kmh.
It can not be, way faster and more practical.

I never ever been to airplane, but i have heard From the people how fearful it is when plane take off, and Some people told me that they even did vomit, but i like this Electrical vertical take off plane, I would love to go on it.
I must say, this is going to be game changer in urban transport. However, the timelines for launch is too far, You can book it in only 2025. And also another concern is how does the traffic gets maintained, if there are too many of these in a city. May be they will have some kind of air traffic controller ? Time will tell. But if it really goes well, then cities will be like those sci-fi cities in Hollywood movies :)
this is a great innovation in the Aero-mechanics field, with dual features of a jet and an helicopter together,,, nice one.
this was in my top 10 today, i really dig this - then again i dig anything electric but especially transport that you can fly pretty quietly, VTOL was introduced with the harrier jumpset (that i remember as a kid) so it's good to see it again.
This is so cool. I feel like this is right out of a futuristic movie. I can't wait to see the day where these types of things have become ubiquitous in our society, so awesome

A jet that does not need a piste for landing and departure. I loved having a great design and the vertical take off feature. A successful test drive has been made but it is still not available for sale. Thank you. In the future, we will see these products often in the sky.

Great Hunt @direwolf. The fly is speed is very fast about 300 km/h and travel range is about 300 km. The main feature of Lilium jet does not pollute the atmosphere. I wait for your next hunt.
