I am sure, many of you have a personal blood sugar and/or blood pressure monitor at your home, because you can find portable devices for them which is also affordable. What about a portable ECG machine at home, which can instantly help you to do an ECG and even consult a doctor in just a few clicks away ?
BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) has developed such a compact ECG machine, that could save many lives. The portable ECH machine can be connected via Bluetooth and then the image be shared with the doctor over MMS or even whatsapp.
So in remote areas, where there is no cardiac care, this can be very helpful. As BARC mentioned "This saves crucial time, which is otherwise lost in transporting the patient to the nearest cardiac care center."
