MUSCAT: Oman will boycott single-utilize plastic packs beginning one year from now as a feature of endeavors to lessen contamination and ensure nature, Muscat reported on Sunday.

"Organizations and foundations are restricted from utilizing single-utilize plastic packs with the expect to secure the Omani condition," the service of condition and atmosphere issues said in an announcement.
It cautioned that violators would confront fines of up to 2,000 Omani rials (4,600 euros) when the boycott produces results on January 1, 2021, with recurrent guilty parties "getting fined twofold the sum".
