Open Letter To Steem Community

in #steemit4 years ago

Hello Steem Community!

With so much happening in Steem right out the gates for me and everyone at Tron and Steemit Inc, such as the launch of Communities and a soft fork 22.2 we weren’t expecting, I feel it is important to show you guys I am here and ready to begin building with you. Our team, the Tron folks and Steemit Inc together, are an amazing group of talented people and they are working hard behind the scenes to get our plans together after the acquisition process, which always leaves some open ended questions. It is my plan now to make sure we begin communicating with the Steem community and make sure we are a positive force in making Steem and Steemit 2.0 great.

We have so much to work to do to make Steemit.com the power that it really can be. And there are many ways we can get it there, from bridging TRX, TRC10’s and TRC20’s into Communities to marketing and growing Steemit.com. From invitations and referrals to simpler and instant signups. From new listings of STEEM on ALL the greatest exchanges to integrations in critical hardware products. From bringing more influencers to the community and creating more content. There is so much I still want to give you from documenting and marketing my vision for steemit.com to connecting with the passionate folks here in this community. Steemit team is also regrouping together in San Francisco this coming week, meeting up with the TRON’s developer community teams to discuss on the executable plans.

As such I want to make sure that together the team and community are a positive part of the communications that help to grow this ecosystem, and for that I would like to invite a group of our top 50 Witnesses to our first STEEMit 2.0 Town Hall, which we will hold tentatively on March 6th, 2020 (meeting logistics to follow). At this meeting I am hoping to hear from many Steemian Witness voices to learn and understand how they think we can grow Steem together, and how Steemit Inc can communicate with the witnesses on a regular basis. During the days leading up, I think we can post more information about this event with the help of any community members who tend to run town halls, and they will help make sure we are super effective. Please let us know who we should connect with in the comments! :)

Nice to meet you.
Welcome to. @cjsdns running https://www.steemzzang.com/
I think you are wise and appreciate your skills.
I will be happy to participate if it helps.
Thank you.

Big support to @cjsdns
I am from Hong Kong and it would be nice to know more about this community
I joined to steemit thanks to @dobartim who opened door and new vision to me
It is nice to see changes going forward with @justinsunsteemit Steem And Tron wisdom
I hope for the best to all our communities
Steem Tron On
@steemzzang you have my support

So Justin how is this working together in a town hall fashion that is going to be super effective working out? I have seen some shit not age well in my time but this has gotta be near the top.

watch out for grey hairs bro

Never gonna happen in this glorious mane.

Be careful bro, Ned will sell you in a heartbeat to the highest bidder 😂

This is a great step. I often host witness forums in a discord group called the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty network. I'd be happy to assist. PALnet can be reached at http://minnowpond.org and my avatar can be found in the top right as aggroed. Let me know your vision of how it would work and we'll try to accommodate the best we can.

This would be great. Aggroed's shows are very well run, and an established way to hold productive discussions.

I second this.

Third! I'd like to listen to the discussion even after it is over with... DLive 🤦‍♂️

No use https://3speak.online it uses steem . DLive neither uses trx or steem we should avoid it for now, @justinsunsteemit will learn about the bad blood between steem and dlive, and we will have justin realize Threspeak is he real community run group, while dlive was announced at steem fest only to leave steem? It was betrayal plane and simple, and a lot of greed, and dlive needs to be cut off from tron, or, i guess they KNOW they are theyre giving it back? well if justin sun didnt know now he knows

anyway I would like to remind @justinsunsteemit that we already have https://tron.newdex.io ready to go to list a TRX STEEMP we can have on tron, we can just name it STEEM, and it will be just like the EOS STEEMP we had created,

https://newdex.io/trade/steemoneosio-steemp-eos

contract
https://bloks.io/tokens/STEEMP-eos-steemoneosio

The @newdex-io site for tron already has DEC which is on steem-engine already

https://tron.newdex.io/trade/DEC_USDT

Together we will bridge Steem and tron using @someguy123 and @privex and steemenginex which already bridges steem to eos and telos, trx will be next and then erc20 STEEMP as well! Steem will be omni present! as a token on all the dpos chains and its going to havesome sort of hybrid witness voting gateway management one day.

You understand that I’m thirding to him joining @aggroed on PAL right? I 🤦‍♂️ To DLive!

PALnet always document and publish everything! Thoroughly does he take upon his position of witnessing, he’s one of the first I have supported. They were my starting grounds for learning Steemy things and though I have ventured from the nest I intend to support my roots.

If I was to suggest a video platform it would be @DTUBE where you can ensure the longevity of your videos with self hosting as anything else can be removed from the centralized hosting servers!

Point was to agree with @arcange that @aggroed should host. Have them do a online meeting in PAL where a system has been proven to be executed efficiently for the entire STEEM community to review, big point, FOR ALL TIME!

Aggroed is the man here on Steem. Brought us Splinterlands and Steem-Engine. I would definitely communicate with this man to get in touch with the community of Steem.

I think that @good-karma is also amongst the top witnesses.
He created and continuously developing eSteem, which is nowadays my favorite dApp on the Steem blockchain.

This 100%! @aggroed already has a system in place and represents community concerns/questions well in these discussions. It would be great if it is a public discussion, so rest of the community can tune in too.

P.S. @justinsunsteemit you may find this discussion by witnesses interesting. It took place after your AMA. https://steemit.com/dtube/@aggroed/o5fkcc5chcr

I totally agree!👍👍👍👌

Yup. Aggy is the man to host and moderate such a discussion.

Nice haiku techslut 😂

Every time. I leave a comment and in comes that bot to remind me I was a poet once.

Ha ha... Haikubot is a dick like that. I remember once it appeared four times on a haiku post I wrote... And I'm like 'screw you haikubot! Stealing my thunder with your multiple haiku.'

I might have some good news for the poet's and fiction writers of steem very soon.

Watch this space 👀👀👀

Ooooh curious Ilana is now curious. My main issue with onboarding creatives is that crypto and wallets and keys make them quickly run away away. Too complex.

crypto and wallets and keys make them quickly run away away.

You have a point, but I'm hopeful these issues can be redressed (for some anyway) both through platform developments, and simple step by step tutorials.

There are also a lot of creative writers who left steem who may come back if the community strengthens, and rewards are more appropriate given the time and talent it takes to write great fiction and poetry.

Ha ha, anyway... I'll quit my salesman patter and let you know, one way or another, when the good-for-creative-writers news drops 🙂

Yup. Aggy is the
Man to host and moderate
Such a discussion.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

@aggroed would be a great contact for hosting a town hall on Discord. Many of the Steem community group together there in regular weekly and monthly meetings. He and others run regular radio shows gathering the community together including witnesses.

Starting to centralize Steemit users would be a great achievement. And the team of witnesses and the new Steemit team. Get together more than you have before. If possible..

  • And that the new project, be done with all social media accounts under the name of Steemit.. Because for example, Steemit's social accounts in Spanish on Facebook (Steemit en español, Steemit Hispano, Steemit Hispanohablantes, etc, etc) they are all abandoned.

As for discord. More of the same.

Half dead servers everywhere ....

I know that many of those present, of the witnesses hate the word centralization. But right now, Steemit is screaming for it. Centralize and reorganize.

Both the way of working and its users, as well as the contents of the platform (it cannot be that Steemit's technical content takes over the project completely).

This no longer looks like a "social network," it looks more like a forum about Steem and cryptocurrencies. Personally, I don't have anything against that (I love technology), but if the goal was to find a lot of users, I don't think it goes in the right direction.

Discord servers are a nest of dead users, everywhere.

Everyone talks about Steemit. But if you enter the servers, there is no life in almost any of them. Or there are a handful of participatory people (the same happens in almost the entire Hispanic community)

People simply come in to share their post and leave. Come on. An absolute garbage.. U Know

Perfectly, everything would be centralized in one place, but for that you have to work it.

Although it would be great, many do not like to "centralize" but it's a joke for four cats that publish. Are there about twenty servers that say they have 200? 300? 400? users and it turns out that I don't know if they reached 50 or 40 active users? I think I'm being generous..

Discord servers are a nest of dead users, everywhere.

Just like Steemit and the Steem blockchain. There are more than 1.3 million accounts, but most of them are inactive nowadays. They left Steemit and the Steem blockchain over the years. And most of the people, who remained, they focus only on their own posts, they do not care about other people's posts. They are selfish and greedy. Nowadays there are 23-32 000 daily active users, 40 000+ posts per day, but the average number of comments per post is only 1-3, and most of these comments are bot, bot-like, spam, spam-like comments. Many posts do not even receive comments. There are a lot of ignored/overlooked posts. This is very disappointing.

u-huh, i quit my autovoters i wrote up b/c actually about 80% or more of people i followed in my own scripts to vote on since 3+ years ago have quit, most quit when it went below $2 , the rest after apocalypse 21 and i hope the dip today doesn't mean the rest will follow

me, personally i dont have anything better to do and it would be awfully nice to see this marvelous piece of software achieving something other than the 20-people circlejerk from the start (you cant say it like that ! ... i just did ...)

at least somethings happening ! they were talking about communities when i signed up , the price was $7 , you had posts running in the $4000 , bots werent evil (they sold that software for over $1000 a piece and e'eryone happy with it at first)
and then nothing ... and now we get on guy with actual , real wall-street money and they can suddenly dust off the shelf and roll it out in two days and market it as HOT and NEW ...

not happy about the fact that the original inquisition is still state approved and now actually labels people on the U.I. for the world to see, that's like the same 5 deciding what good content is

this thing is less de-centralized than the belgian governments and we have six of those

i have spoken

i eagerly await the day when i can say

"steemit bought my lambo" ...

Loading...

I'm sorry. The bible I just wrote. My mother .. IPouf? They make me sick? I get sick? I'm sorry again.

Good day ..

It's okay, your post was heartfelt and there isn't a lot of that to be had. Take care of yourself.

I liked your comment. This is true and informative. thanks a lot

Have not been on steemit for longer than two years or so. Can honestly say I love it and am always scanning for other posts of interest. Must be more with this mentality. I know because I look inside. The opposite would be sad to endure

You used to be able to make some steem commenting but there was a hardfork that changed that. Everyone here is a content creator and no one is a consumer, its one of those things that has to change for success. I can post the same post on Reddit I post here and get a dozen replies. No one comes to steem and just browses

This is the problem, which prevents Steem from being successful. If people would use the Steem blockchain naturally, then the Steem blockchain would be a successful thing. But people come here only for the money. And they think only about themselves. They doom the whole platform by their selfishness and greediness.

I think that’s because steemit is so out of date and has such a poor user interface. I admit to being a selfish poster on here I just don’t have to the time I trawl through looking for things I like when the rewards are so low. The stuff I am interested is hard to find. On fb and insta I am far More engaged. It’s just not very user friendly. You can blame users as much as you like but there is a reason people are not engaging. Steemit rly needs a huge upgrade in its interface and the way we see and engage in posts.

This is not just/only about Steemit. There are many Steem blockchain interfaces, such as Busy, SteemPeak, eSteem, and the real human comments are rare on all of them.

I never rly graduated off steem as it’s just too much to hAve all these differnt sites for the same one. I did like partiko and steemshot more but it’s just too many apps for me. I mean maybe this style works for some people but most people I think prefer one user face that’s great.

centralize users :p ...

i dont know what its about, im sure ill find out but all i can see is that the price is dis-agreeing with something today . I havent been on any of the exchanges today so i dont know if its a global dip or not, hence

we shall keep our opinion until it comes with backing :p

i was hoping more for disruption of the steemit quo, not continuation of the current 10 peple-wide protectorate and the 4 state-approved blacklists

cos thats just more of the same, and that has proven for 2+ years now : "not to work at all"

100% agree. The right word would have been to unify. I was just trying to make a small pun..

In the Hispanic community, there are too many communities; and all with a small number of users.

Perfectly, they could group together to get stronger. But it seems impossible due to people's selfishness.

I think. That we have a similar thought.

What seems clear is that Steemit needs a change in his methodology, or something like that.

And I find it very, very curious. That witnesses seem to want to go out to protect themselves before they even know what can happen.

That is understandable. In part, but ..

They should also be open to changes. For the benefit of all.

The project itself has proven not to work too well for now.

It is clearly stagnant.

Greetings..

Another "yes" to get @aggroed to host it. He has experience holding large discussions and have shown this from previous shows/forums

I second this!

Fourth! I want to hear it after it's done!

I honestly think if Justin wants to show that he's interested and committed to working with witnesses and the community, he should get in contact with y'all, not the other way around. He can't buy y'all's trust and cooperation, and it's not like y'all went into hiding. Personal outreach is considered important for a reason, ya?

Posted using Partiko Android

Great place for it and a non-witness host like @shadowspub should also be moderating to represent the community aspect that isn't witness oriented but here for the freedom Steem offers. That's her bottom line - it's all about the community.

I love this idea. Thanks for taking the lead on this @aggroed this community has lots of faith and trust in you. I’m sure with LOTS and LOTS of regular talks between Justin and our witnesses blockchain mountains can be moved. Justin can help us and we can help him which is exactly how it should be. One day at time brother.

Yo @justinsunsteemit its a fact that you have to flow with @aggroed on PAL our versatile community is pure and very close knit, its only right! MAKE IT HAPPEN MAN!!

Bump for @aggroed to host/coordinate the meeting. He knows how to draw a crowd and keep the conversation on track

Posted via Steemleo

What a bunch of bullshit. I’m not gonna sit here and blow you like the rest of these pathetic ass kissing witnesses who bend over at the promise of a conversation.

You didn’t even understand what you were buying from @ned, did you?

Everyone seems to have forgotten how you’ve abused power in your own chain, abused employees, etc after a simple ass kissing post.

You made CLUELESS announcements that shows just how out of touch you are with Steem and what actually goes on here.

This pathetic support and immediate change in tone goes to show you these witnesses are only here for the money, not the chain. People don’t change overnight. You all should be ashamed at rolling over so easy when you know damn well he’s going to try to kill this chain and all support for it while we move to China chain.

The only reason the most of those crack pots voted for a fork was their fear they might need to get a real job once Justin took over. I will love seeing them bend the knee one after the other and doing all kinds of mental gymnastics when justin writes them a check.

You nailed it.

I agree with you. Most of the top witnesses don't care about Steem. They just care about how much blood they can suck from Steem. Steemit had become a garbage can for a long time, but none of the top witnesses cares. As long as they can get paid, they won't care about Steem. Who cares?

We got his attention, let's see what he knows about the chain, what he has to say, and what kind of commitments he can provide.

Thank you Bernie.

Edit: Note for everyone here. Please notice all the replies from @justinsunsteemit. Maybe the witnesses and Justin can communicate by post.

Took me a bit to figure out that there are none 🙈🙈

I was kinda shocked about all the mega fakeness here.

lol then steem would be semi transparent and not all cloak n dagger like

Ha! This comment of all the ones in this thread should get an award. Seriously have me rolling over here.

I am all in favor of the witnesses implementing a softfork to change the username of "justinsunsteemit" to "buy_my_shit_coin" or "trons_is_a_scam".

You are right, he abuses his own chain. It is a centralized "chain"[ https://cointelegraph.com/news/tron-co-founder-and-cto-leaves-project-alleging-excessive-centralization ], yet he fraudulently markets it as decentralized. He should be arrested, prosecuted, and convicted for his fraud. The tron chain offers us nothing but tiny 200 byte transactions [ https://github.com/tronprotocol/documentation/blob/master/English_Documentation/TRON_Protocol/Mechanism_Introduction.md ], far below the 65536 byte transaction size limit that enables true dapps here on steem. The token swap implies that Justin Sun is planning the death of the steem chain. A token swap also means a new minting, and a new minting means he could print as many coins as he wanted for himself since he wants to centralize everything. Theft through dilution. If he had his way then he or Chinese Communist party would censor what we say on the platform by reducing steem to how own personal private database. Tron [and China in General] is famous for deleting things it disagrees with: https://medium.com/popnetwork/banned-from-the-blockchain-an-ethereum-developers-tale-of-migrating-to-tron-248a0d215c92 . Justin Sun is persona Non-gratis. If the only thing Justin sun can offer us is free marketing, I think we can get far more marketing if we as a community let all of the cryptosphere know Justin Sun for the Cancer that he is and that Steem Chain was the chemo. It was the mouse that roared.

The cryptospehere should one day punish Mr Justin Sun and reduce is Tron tokens to zero for its crimes against those who invested in what they erroneously thought, as Tron marketed, a decentralized future on it. The streets of San Fran should welcome Mr. Justin Sun. The streets are full of shit, the San Fran elites doesn't like it, and Justin Sun completely loves peddling it. Enjoy your future Justin Sun for your first real job in your entire life-it is your calling. And you are more than welcome to use that mouth of yours to clean it up.

You purchased an inferior Dapp Mr. Sun-not the chain. Go lick your wounds, and get the hell out of here.

For context, that video was obtained while those involved were all under Chatham House Rules. Which means they agreed not to post or broadcast anything without the express permission of those involved. The intent is to allow people to discuss ideas freely because they feel relaxed that their reputation isn't on the line and that they're not going to be publicly quoted.

Yes, very nefarious act of violating someone's trust.

No, Peter asked permission to do so.. Justin was all in. Amazing how people can pull things out of their ass around here lately.

BWahahahahaaa! Isn't that why it's called a shit show?

using that video as evidence of anything is really stupid. I don't know the context of it, but it is obvious that it is a joke

Posted using Partiko Android

Did I say it was? No one is using it as evidence of anything, I simply responded to the incorrect claim about it above. It’s a video of two guys joking around, it’s not a victim being taken advantage of and trust being broken etc etc etc

Some people dont get jokes...

We really need a /r/wooosh community...

Ummm he had expressed permission to post it, from Justin. Were you there or something?

Ya, JS mentioned in a recent interview he was just embracing the meme and that the internet is full of memes so no point to ignore it or something.

CCP Agent hoovering up blockchain and decentralised tech assets for his Big Pig Master Blaster. I never thought communism was so virulently capitalist.

I just joined Steemit for the first time yesterday and opened up a defi community (https://steemit.com/trending/hive-147925), but felt a tremendous sense of disappointment upon learning that Tron has purchased Steemit. That video is very revealing.

There's still
https://steempeak.com
https://busy.org
.etc. which aren't steemit...

Welcome to #STEEM 🎉

Oh that's great, those look nicer too.

Yeah... just don't tell Justin Sun that 😂

Go Bernie! Go! Am sticking with you in all these like a tick on a cow's tail.

Posted using Partiko Android

Thx for opening my eyes. I changed my mind about you. :)

yep. I agree infact I am certain of it. the butcher's breakfast of BitTorrent acquisition, BTT or whatever & now BTFS is going to unfurl in very disastrous ways for jizzy Justine.

Nice to see your emotion directed where it is deserved, @berniesanders. My first upvote for one of your posts! 😎

Of course most of us we are here for the money lol. I am glad you are here using Steemit, whether you like Justin Sun or not that's fine. We need trolls like you to keep things interesting while using this platform even with all the negativity and bitterness. Btw this my first post. Its gonna be fun responding to some random trolls #bernie2020

Tbf I'm not around as much anymore but I agree. He didn't buy trust or cooperation from witnesses, community, or chain, but that only lasts as long as we don't sell it to him. I'd say the first step to earning any of that is doing something concrete, rather than making promises and requests.

Posted using Partiko Android

talking should be the first step even if he had no idea what he bought. if there is a way to make a public contact about using that stake, why not do it?

But he doesn't know the name of the Community STEEMIT, he always says stimy :-)

Ok, he has a problem with his nose

Better he get some !BEER ;-)

Maybe he just has a booger/bogie and is picking his nose like we all do. ....or are you so physiologically perfect you don't get gloop up your nose.?

I can only agree with it. It takes a lot of time to know what steemit is, what is bought and what surprises me most of all how hypocrite most, suddenly, are. Stick to your words and do not change because you are afraid you might not be needed another or you miss the big upvote. 💕

Menh, you bad. Bad as in badh. One thing I have learnt recently is that it takes courage to stand up and say what's on your mind, it also take mind to seat quietly and listen to abuses.

Dear Justin, I want to express my opinion on the whole situation. Steem blockchain is a great investment if it's run in the business corner.
I suggested a long time ago to open a referral program and introduce changes, but if the main people are not ready to listen to the proposals of those involved in the business, then we have only a strong developer lobby and then the whole business logic is based on who has more Steem Power Power.

If there is a downvote with which the most powerful users control freedom of speech and opinion then censorship is introduced and there is no freedom of speech and opinion, and we know well that there is no development of society and business. Technical changes are important, but without business consultations with the whole society and with those who are not witnesses you cannot have insight into the whole.

If we want more decentralization then everyone should be able to move forward without any interference and impose rules in communication, blogging, etc.

There are many investors who do not agree with the management of current witnesses, you need to listen to all the options and do what is best for investors, bloggers, developers.

I wish you much success and making the best team possible, and making quick changes to Steem's value.

Instead of witnesses getting a position because of Steem Power, they should get a position because of the number of votes - 1 user can vote for one witness and all users have the same voting power. In that case, they would have more decentralization and positive change.

Whereas, big stakeholders create accounts upon accounts upon accounts upon accounts upon accounts?

Well said, it's the first time I understand "the power of the witnesses*
💕

Justin, I think this is the right move. I hope you realize, thru your participation in DPoS, that the Steem witnesses came together to take steps we felt were highly necessary to maintain the status quo and prevent major changes in the seem consensus due to the SteemIt, Inc. stake.

I would be happy to participate in discussions with you, and the rest of the witnesses, to best figure out how we can move forward in the best interest of Steem.

Surely, the morning sun is here with steem with the position aired by @Justinsunsteemit. This prompt response is important.

Lol. I was playing this last week. #throwback

Hahaha that game is a classic

Yeah well the status quo is what's killing the place.

Very happy to see your response. I really believe this is a match made in heaven if we play this right. Steem is a unique blockchain with an amazing community. Let’s work together to make this community as big and decentralized as it has ever been!

Great move by the witnesses as proven by the response. I’m still buying!

Tron?

I did buy some Tron! The more points of view I read the more confusing/clear/exciting/devastating/exhilarating this becomes!

Be patient. I have a feeling that we'll have much lower entry point for both. Steem and Tron.

I agree with your sentiments 100 percent. This is surely a win win scenario.

If played right. I was looking at some numbers the other day and see why he bought Steemit. Tron only had 900 some odd actual users which is but a tenth (if not less) than Steem on the whole. The fact is, despite him bringing the much needed money here and vision, we don't need him - he needs us.

Pls consider changing witness voting rules to avoid current and future such crises. Details are in my post
Agree with your stand. Below is my take and proposal to handle similar crises in future

https://www.actnearn.com/actnearn/@prameshtyagi/my-take-on-soft-fork-0-22-2

I just read Tron Tron Tron from your side.

I am not interested on the Tron Chain and this never change.

Steem is a book for writing.
If you want help to grow this book, just write your text in it. Vote small!!! Witnesses and do not promote your Chain in every second word.

I am out of Steemit.

Salve

Alucian

Why not wait and see what happens? Why not be open for new things? I will never understand why humans always tempt to make hasty decisions before even knowing what's going on..

At least Justin communicated already more than Ned in the 1.5 years I'm on this chain..

Yes he talk about Tron. I am not so open for „new“ things, that is right, because new means not better every time. @ned create this chain, it another thing for me. Here we got a new big stakeholder, a new way to promote his own thing. Tokens from Tron on Steem??? Not for me. I do not need changes for every price.

Remember my sceptic later.

New things bring new options and opportunities. There are so many aspects which could finally change with the support of the tron foundation. Just take marketing as an example - The way the marketing was handled in the past was beyond terrible. It's obvious that good marketing requires resources (money) and with the tron foundation there are finally enough funds which could back up those issues.

Nothing wrong with being septic though. But deciding to leave the chain without having any evidence on what's going on is in my eyes an hasty decision.

I understand your point of view. A (better) Marketing for the Steem is Ok for me. But wath is the price we paid for?

How much did Tron paid for Steemit??? 20?% of the hole Steem they bought with it. How much they paid? I do not think, it was 1500 Sat for a single Steem.

Often I saw a new Boss in a Companie. Every!!! times it was a bad desicion for the little ones.

I do not think it worth it. Let us see, how long it needs they sell it again.

The Spirit of Steem died with this change for me. Now, it is the Spirit of Tron.

The best would be via voice chat, a lot of the witnesses are scattered around the world, it would be a challenge to gather them in a physical location. The community holds numerous weekly chats on Discord, so you're welcome anytime to join us to discuss important matters.

And please keep the "Pop Network" in mind, moving ahead with Tron...

Maybe a voice chat dApp on the Steem blockchain would be better than Discord. The conversations may be streamed and/or stored on the blockchain, so the users would be able to hear them to have more insight and knowledge about the happenings around Steemit and around the Steem blockchain.

These meetings are posted by aggroed after they happen, stored on the blockchain. Isn't that good enough for you?

I only gave an idea. I did not even know that the meetings are posted by anyone on the Steem blockchain.

I feel it is important to show you guys I am here and ready to begin building with you.

This is great news. Thank you for responding so quickly.

Steemit has clearly needed better leadership for quite some time and I for one am excited to see it taking shape. My hope is this new partnership between Tron and Steemit will also benefit the STEEM token holders and the users of the Steem blockchain who have spent years of their life putting content on this chain. The temporary steps taken in SF22.2 were in response to those users who expected their witnesses to protect their chain. Your response and willingness to reach out to the witnesses and have an open discussion is exactly what I was hoping for. I hope the meetings next week with the Steemit team go fantastically well. The witnesses are ready to engage in conversation to find the best path forward for our communities.

Edit: as for the meeting, I hope for a Zoom video call or Discord audio call where the top witnesses can directly participate but all in the community can listen in.

Hey Justin, I want to empathise that his SF is not against your or Tron, but simply a protective measure. I'll be there, on 6th March 2020.

Where will it hold? You mean Steemfest?

Posted using Partiko Android

SteemFest won't be that early. :)

I would like to invite a group of our top 50 Witnesses to our first STEEMit 2.0 Town Hall, which we will hold tentatively on March 6th, 2020 ...

Good to know that you're around and watching. I hope that you'll extend the meeting to the top 60 witnesses though, so that I may at least attend and listen in.

Here's to hoping that a positive collaboration may begin. It's been a long time since we've seen good progress around here and we're not so easily placated by mere promises anymore.

Thanks for the relatively swift response to our witness actions today. I hope the meetings go well this week.

There are more than 60 witnesses? I say the more the better, like Bit Torrent, Bitcoin, etc.

Great, you are already beating the # of posts by Ned & Eli. Communication and some more details and specifics are of the upmost importance.

Great news @justinsunsteemit

A little communication goes a long way. I'm happy to hear that you will be active in joining the town hall meeting and hearing the views/concerns of the community.

Be great to see you there 🙂

@justinsunsteemit, I know about Tron a little bit, however, I don't know you. I've read the articles about the soft fork.

I understand that it was done to protect property and get the large property owners together to figure out a new way forward while keeping the original idea of Steemit alive.

I also understand if negotiations don't go well property owners can hard fork and continue to grow Steemit as intended in the original white paper. I am going to continue reading and studying Justin Sun's leadership skills and how he runs his company.

I didn't like how Steemit ecosystem was over-harvested by the large whales, there was no governance, in fact Steemit almost seemed like a giant money-laundering scheme.

I did actually make some money from posting and working the bid bots. However, the bid bots took all the fun out of my networking and community work, along with very little protection for our fragile ecosystem and poor governance. That's when I left. I'm back because I am a curious cat and I want to be involved because Steemit introduced me to cryptocurrency, which has turned out to be a great investment and way to get paid for social media work and awesome people.

Justin can I come visit the San Francisco office for a tour and to meet some Tron employees? I was there yesterday but I would like to come back to create a cool post with some good photo ops. From a long time Steemian, -@goldmatters

Nice, I'll have to check that post out!!!!

I really appreciate the support man, thank you!

Are you local to the area? @goldmatters

Yes, I could easily make it back to the office on pretty short notice

Nice, I'm from Brentwood myself.

I look forward to seeing what a powerhouse people claim you are

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

Hi Justin. I will be there.

I strongly believe that both the Tron and Steem ecosystems have a lot to gain by working together. I am excited for the potentail that the future holds. There are a lot of concerns that our community members, stakeholders, and witnesses have though which I am hoping can be addressed in the coming weeks.

I look forward to speaking to you on March 6 at the town hall.

If invites don't extend beyond the 50, I trust you'll represent the true core values some of us hold dear.

so happy to see you will be there @timcliff!!

so happy to see you will be there @timcliff!!

Henceforth to be known as the most sensable witness in the top 20. 😎

How many witnesses are there besides the top 20? Perhaps, we need more flexibility in the witnesses, the nodes. Perhaps, Steem should allow for full nodes, partial nodes, as much and as little as each person may want, like Bit Torrent.

Only about 100 or less witnesses on that list. I say the more the better.

Full list of witnesses here: https://steem.arcange.eu/witnesses

A total of 670 registed witnesses. Some of them are no longer witnesses as their names are crossed out. So, it looks like around 100 or less active witnesses as of right now. But I still think it would be better if Steem had as many witnesses as Bitcoin has miners. I think Bitcoin has thousands of miners. I know witnesses have to be voted on and miners are not voted on. A miner is just a machine that is mining Bitcoin. Can a single witness have many different Steem nodes? I am asking because I am hoping that the Steem nodes can be as decentralized as possible. I would say the more the Steem nodes, the better.

That reads as very unstable. It is assumed that the "formula" of the witnesses is thus "built" in the "post" of stability.

You've never had errors in Bittorrent ... I do.

Steemit can't be a P2P .. Sure. Surely there are already more advanced protocols than P2P. Sure.

But I doubt its stability, either P2P or something similar.

Witnesses do not seem like a bad technique despite all the scalability problems they have.

From my point of view, they need to work more together with their backs to the public.

And it is necessary to look for some formula, which separates as much as possible. The witnesses of the curators and even the rest of the other projects.

At the end. Witnesses are like judges; And it can't be. Let the judges, be those who make the laws, those who judge and the prosecuted. Everything at once.

It is necessary to perform a separation of powers.

In this point. It could work perfectly @justinsunsteemit and try to make witnesses see different points that perhaps they have not been able to stop to see until today..

But for that it is necessary to be noble, work as a team and forget about profits for a moment; and focus on a future project that generates users. Basically. Because without users, there is no project..

If witnesses are like judges, like you wrote, then I agree. It is similar to letting those who own land vote, historically speaking in the United States, and that can be a better system.

I would favor a hybrid of Steem witness nodes as the main core fused with an option, an extension, of Bit Torrent or IPFS or P2P style or Bitcoin like seeding or mining as a way to help distribute and redistribute Steem content, the web pages, etc, to help seed the content in a decentralized method, assuming it doesn't already do that.

The problem of such a system. From my vague point of view and from my ignorance.

We would all have to start mining; and that reduces the number of Steemit users.

For a minimum of users, those with technological knowledge? And that they should also feel the project as their own, to see how they get involved in it.

It would not be much simpler. Simplify everything to the fullest, try to win users in bulk. Clean the visual face of the platform. Insert ads and pay witnesses with your money for honest maintenance. If necessary.

Talk to witnesses and promote changing the way you donate the Steem Power. Support more new users and fight because they become continuous time users.
It offers a platform with better content for them.

You have to try something new ... And although there are still 100 voices of witnesses who defend their small interests.

It seems that it is impossible for the platform to float again.

Not to mention the visual damage and marketing that all that does. The feeling of a flimsy project is transmitted, for every pore of Steemit. For each witness that opens a new "spectator" or "fork" (steam peak, busy, etc., etc., etc.)

I have been in Steemit for two years.

They have been making changes almost compulsively all this time, I don't see the improvement anywhere.

Maybe. It is time to look for an alternative path, or not..

Effective? "Meeting with 50 people is laugh worthy.". Witnesses' voices about "how they think we can grow Steem together, and how Steemit Inc can communicate with the witnesses on a regular basis" are all on the platform, all the time. Need 2 weeks to hear clearer in a meeting?

Glad to see you noticed what we are trying to protect.

I am the newest (?) witness team on the blockchain here.

We did not make top50, but we launched in the hardest times when nobody would.

We understand none of us can go there to meeting but at least we would like to be noticed as protectors of STEEM chain.

Martin of @rotfl witness team.

Welcome @rotfl witness team

Thank you Justin for the very prompt feedback to the Steem community. Sounds very engaging and I look forward to seeing something greater on both Steem and Tron with upcoming Tron involvement with Steemit Inc. & Steem Community rather than a big ugly noise to the crypto space.

I would expand that beyond top 50.. As a former top 20 witness sitting around 70 at the moment would like to be involved as well. Sucks that we had to pull out the nuclear option in order to establish a concise communication between you Justin and the witness community.

Will find a way to be a part of this chat somehow though.

This v0.22.2 soft fork is almost entirely the fault of the FUD that has been flying around. If communications were clear from the get go I do not see that this would have happened how it has.

Glad to finally see some communications open up though. Welcome to STEEM.

Folks of STEEM, Please consider voting for my witness: https://klye.steem.design/

Sucks that we had to pull out the nuclear option in order to establish a concise communication between you Justin and the witness community.

This was not the nuclear option. This was we can't really fork in case we can't cash in our witness payoffs.

Without a solution that would effect every user equally, this is attempted robbery!

Not sure what to say about it.

We were in danger of being absorbed and having FUD shit all over us from Justin Sun.. At least now he's willing to sit down and communicate with us, rather than leave us all wondering if STEEM has a future.

Said from the very start that this would likely result in a fork.. It did.
This could still go very badly for STEEM, I don't know what the future holds.

Guess we'll see when we get to meet with Justin Sun..

What are you talking about? There will just be a meeting, the bigger accounts and witnesses will be satisfied they will get a good deal and Justin will then do whatever he wants. And fuck the rest of the people, just like in real life with politicians. And I am not against Justin Sun, this has never been decentralized, just a small group of people have always held the power so for most of us there will not be much change and anyway we don't really have that much to lose.

We're just taking the steps necessary to not be absorbed into TRON. He could just give us lip service and then do whatever the fuck he wants.. True.

The DPOS nature of STEEM makes it that only a small number of people have control over running the code that runs the blockchain... It sucks but that is how it is.

We have the entire chain to lose if this goes bad... I don't know about you, but I don't want STEEM to get absorbed by TRON then have to pay to make a post or comment or transfer..

We could have come up with a multitude of solutions. That 51% of all witnesses must employ a HF for it to become recognised like most PoW chains. Just throwing that out there... yet there would have to be countless changes that could be made to thwart Sun while at the same time thwart other whales. Thwart everyone equally. This is extortion and looks like ETH classic from here.

P.S. Dropped all support of witnesses which installed 22.2 so you understand my withdrawing your vote. My choice affected every witness not just you.

Only 17 of the top 20 witnesses need to run a new version for the chain to switch over to it.

The back-up witnesses such as myself do not really make much of a difference in what version we run.

This isn't about thwarting whales at all.. This isn't even about thwarting Justin Sun..

This is literally about keeping the STEEM blockchain from being shut down and rolled into the TRON blockchain.. As Justin Sun stated he was going to do initially. So unless you're down with STEEM being shut down, and being moved to TRON, and being charged transaction fees on all operations such as comments, posts, transfers, etc etc.. This is what had to be done. Does it suck? Fucking rights it does, but with Ned selling us out to someone who wanted to dissolve STEEM as we know it, this was basically the only way to ensure that it wouldn't happen.

ETH classic was to reverse a hack due to shitty coding, our fork is to save the blockchain itself.. Not sure how you can compare the two.

I understand where you're coming from with your statements, but you're looking at it from angles that weren't even considered when we rolled this out.

We're trying to protect STEEM, Not fuck people over. Temporarily forking out one persons access to ensure the rest of us still have STEEM to gather around is what we are doing here.. :/

Hear, here. I did the same thing. You will see @drakos on my list, but he was not top 20 at the time this went through and was also, along with @guiltyparties and @neoxian, the most civil towards me during a few discussions.

This option was so far from nuclear. The entire reason for the soft fork was to defend against any possible threat and enable both sides to be able to approach friendly negotiations. I repeat, this was NOT a nuclear option.

If we'd done this when Ned was still running Steemit Inc this would have been viewed as the nuclear option. (In my opinion)

With Justin running Steemit Inc I still consider this the nuclear option, however it has opened up communication channels to it's far less detrimental than it could have been.

What do you consider the option above this, that you would consider the nuclear option? Honestly interested to hear your thoughts on this.

A hardfork that changed the account state and forcefully moved or nullified the stake.

Surely you see there are escalations that can happen from here right? I purposefully worked VERY hard to avoid the nuclear option. That is something that is bothering me about the community acting like this was some rash decision.

Ah yeah. Ok. that clarifies it for me. Thanks for the reply.

Not downplaying the hours you've put in, in order to make this happen, good work netuoso!

The community feels like they were blind sided, even though I have spent a ton of time telling them that this was on the horizon.. Oh well, I think now that they see that communications are being opened up they are less fearful.

Cheers man!

Does this soft fork effect any of us in any way?

Nope. Users will be unaffected by this soft fork. :)

No worries.

Hear, here. You may or may not like one of the posts I did about the FUD. I think that was the biggest problem as Twitter is just a shit show anyway designed specifically for the poparazzi to cash in on rumors.

Is all good man.

yeah, twitter is a fucking shitshow 100%

Is being a witness the same as like running a website? I know it is different but when you run a Steem node, does the node have to be online 24/7 or what happens if you lose Internet connection as a witness? I think it should work more like Bit Torrent if it doesn't already.

Running a STEEM witness node isn't really similar to running a website.

Node must be online 24/7. If you lose internet connection then you will be unable to produce a STEEM block when you a scheduled to.

It is p2p in a sense.

Would you compare a Steem witness node to Bitcoin mining, to Bit Torrent seeding, or to other things?

Yes and no.

Bitcoin mining anyone can do with the right hardware.
When running a STEEM witness you need community votes in order to be allowed to produce blocks. All witnesses do is collect operations such as votes and transfers and put them into a block, every 3 seconds.

Voting Process:

I understand that a witness has to go through the voting process to become a witness in the first place. I understand how blockchain works, the process and operation of submitting transactions to the blocks every 3 seconds like you said, and I understand that is not how Bit Torrent, etc, works, specifically, that they are technically different in how they work.

Hybrid

But why not a hybrid approach? I would suggest having the witnesses as the core of Steem. On top of that, I would try to utilize something like IPFS, like seeding, like whatever Bitchute uses, in decentralizing and distributing the data of the Steem blockchain across the world wide web. My objective is simply in trying to decentralize as much of how Steem works as possible.

Option

At the very least, I would try to make it an option and not a requirement. I guess what I'm getting at is concerning platforms or apps or dapps that are built on Steem and not Steem itself. So, I guess I am mostly talking about how Steemit.com, Busy.org, Partiko, and other Steem apps work. I don't know how the different apps work specifically. But I would, assuming that they are not already, find ways to decentralize how the apps work in distributing data across the web to limit centralization. In doing so, people should be paid in helping in that process via things like Bit Torrent seeding and people should be paid, compensated, in Steem, in money, in cryptocurrencies, etc, or whatever, for helping in sharing the load. So, perhaps, they can't or shouldn't be the witnesses. I understand that.

Mining, Seeding

But I would argue and say that more people could seed or mine or help distribute Steem around the Internet via IPFS, P2P, and/or as many different things as possible. Perhaps what I am talking about does not have to be directly connected to Steem itself and be done indirectly or separate from Steem. I've heard that there are cryptocurrency-like Bit Torrent projects out there that does or will attempt at compensating the seeders via cryptocurrencies. I'm talking about Internet 3.0 which means the attempts at decentralizing the Internet. For example, there is one project called Substratum. And there are others as well.

We had POW mining in the beginning.

All STEEM happens to be is a decentralized database. However the majority of the blocks are created by the top 20 witnesses voted by the community.

I'm not against what you are saying here.. However as it sits I don't see it happening any time soon as would be regarded as taking a step backwards.

The spirit of the blockchain movement starts with GPL-style concepts, where we value the community over the guy at the top. Even though having a leader is very useful for having a functional project, we have seen many good projects either become corrupted by people who don't understand WHY we use a blockchain instead of mainstream social media, or we see good projects fail because the leadership does not know HOW to proceed forward into the future.

The most important aspect to me is anti-censorship, and the freedom to write what I want without feeling like someone can track, censor, or advertise to me in the way that every other popular social media website does.

I want to be free, and that's why I use blockchain technology. If you value freedom too, then declare it, and stick to your declaration of freedom.

If you can prove yourself, you will earn our trust and Steem will prosper. If you are false, then this is a dark day.

This is well said

I definitely recommend @dobartim to host this town hall meeting
He is the best choice in this complex merger as the best business Mind for me and my followers

I am so happy to see such a prompt response from you Justin. This tactical approach to managing the community is important to Brooker mutual benefit.

However, while I am so happy you are seeking a physical audience with the top 50 witnesses of Steem and reiterating your push to sync Tron's creativity to Steem's which are for our good, you have not expressed your displeasure or support to the Softfork which is crucial at this time.

We the community on Steem are curious to hear your stand on the Softfork which directly bothers the usage of the massive Steemit Inc stakes.

I personally want to be assured that my Investment of time to share value on a decentralized community as steem won't be jeopardized. I refuse to use Facebook because of centralisation where one person can take Ll gor granted.

Does your position in this post mean that you accept the temporal Softfork until March 6th when you'll actually speak with the witnesses?

In all, thank you for declaring a support for Steem's future as we hope to see you publish a roadmap.

We in steem wish that we'll have a more directed communication. If you make a statement today, let the next day's statement build a support on the previous.

We do not take deleting of crucial tweets and probably editing ot deleting of posts for granted. All we need is a business trust as you come onboard steem.

I am certain that you have the credential for an upward trend of marketing steem. Steem Also has a wealth od creativity that would make your Investment here break-even quickly.

I don't like the soft fork but still, you wouldnt be a true steemian if you were not scammed by Ned first, like most of us have here. Welcome to the club buddy. Lol.

Hi @justinsunsteemit. Great to read this post from you and look forward to the meeting. I'm sure this way many community concerns can be addressed properly. Happy to work together in order to build a stronger, better Steem community.

I am a witness (though not top 50), run a community and voice opinions on my own shows and other shows. I'll be there too, if you'll allow it. The Steem community is pretty thick, I imagine anyone you allow to come will show.

This 👆👆👆👆

Please have the chat on minnowpond @justinsunsteemit

I am a witness too. There are many witnesses that even though we are not top witnesses and our voice don't really matter, we do pay attention to what everything is happening.

Good to see ya sweets! Hope he does understand he's dealing with more than just 50 people.

Hello @justinsunsteemit to tell the truth in the Spanish-speaking community we do not have as much support as in the English-speaking community and if I have to choose someone to represent me I select @cervantes has been a witness that since I arrived at the platform I have seen working for steemit and the community helping small accounts like mine to grow I would like you to take it into account in your meetings as a representative of the smallest in this ocean. Thank you for your response and once again welcome and let's work together to grow steemit. Greetings from Margarita - Venezuela from @electrodo

@justinsunsteemit

I agree wholeheartedly for the need for a Town Hall Summit.
I would encourage it to take place over in MSP/PAL discord as many have suggested. The format is suited to a large group discussion. It is important here be frank back and forth.

I would STRONGLY encourage however, that a very neutral moderator be in place.

Frankly, I believe someone like @shadowspub be the host. She's extremely fair and even handed. She is not a witness, and will be able to maintain a fair hand in moderating the discussions.

in addition to top witnesses, I would try and find a way to include some voices of the rest of the community, as well. Perhaps a few thought leaders? representatives of the community at large.

Lastly, many users and witnesses were not in favor of this Soft Fork, and it is important that their voices be heard as well.

@aggroed @timcliff, @crimsonclad @r0nd0n @starkerz @lukestokes @techslut @berniesanders @theycallmedan @drakos @netuoso @ats-david @snook @enginewitty @themarkymark @arcange @whatsup @guiltyparties @pennsif @cervantes

I fully agree on having her as host! She may have her own opinion on the situation, but if elected a moderator, I'm sure @shadowspub would do an excellent job as I have seen/heard her do multiple times.

Thanks for responding so quickly Justin! Working with the witnesses and inviting them to San Francisco to be part of the process is a positive step towards making more decentralized Steem community :)

Many on the platform do not agree with the soft fork and think it was done from a paranoia of a select few losing control they hold.

While not a witness I would like to poach some of your time in the future to discuss projects that can create a demand for Crypto and make it part of everyday life to a wide user base.

Many on the platform do not agree with the soft fork and think it was done from a paranoia of a select few losing control they hold.

This is actually not the case at all. It was not a select few fearing a loss of power. It was a rather large consensus of witnesses and other stakeholders who discussed how to best mitigate the potential security risk to the Steem blockchain over a period of almost 10 days.

There wasn't any paranoia and it wasn't some conspiracy between a small group of colluding top witnesses. It was actually a rather good and hopeful discussion between most of the parties involved. And while we all didn't exactly agree on the best path forward, we came to a compromise and did what we felt was needed to ensure Steem's continuity and the status quo regarding Steemit's stake.

Never mentioned conspiracy.

From the first meeting I attended about this prior to today in Pal server. The only thing heard from witness was the need to have a fork, all based on that if Justin Sun uses his SP to vote for a witness.

The status quo as you say is something that I also feel the majority of Steemit.com user base is a self server one to those same people who decided on the sort fork.

There has been a consistent (from many users and witness) voice speaking out against the present way the governance of the Steemit.com platform. For an example the reduction of votes one person can cast to witness which was ignored and still is. The only reason I can see for this is the maintaining of control over decisions made.

The last HF made it even harder for a new member to gain a foothold on the Steemit.com platform by reducing the value of any vote below a required amount. This is done while at the same time the same witness state that retention of users is needed, Mass on-boarding is needed and the need to bring business to the Steem chain. Business will come much easier with a larger active user base, not by the reduction of it.

We see things from different sides of the wall it seems.

I couldn't agree more with the last 2 paragraphs. I don't get the point of onboarding more users if most of them will be left on seen(except for their intro if lucky), if the same people and type of content will get the votes.

The same frustrations I have with the effects when a small sp holder votes for content, a witness, or an sps proposal.

Yes I know steem is a stake based platform but we should at least pretend a bit that we care about the small sp by using 1 to 1 sp ratios instead of multipliers.

At this point even if i still had the urge to optimistically preach steem and sp I don't how I could keep a straight face saying that each vote adds up, that your voice matters, etc.

Steem may be an undiscovered technological gem but, right now it needs users more than they need it, and should strive to be friendlier to them in all aspects.

Just my 2 cents.

"soft fork 22.2 we weren’t expecting" well we as community did not expect this in the tron fondation weekly report.
tron staitment.jpg

you understand, that if you are not lying to us, some people in your team did not get the memo, and it would be nice to maybe send that memo again.

Hopefully it's not one of these situations:

😁
well someone did not get it, i hope it is his marketing team.

i never had any contact with multimillion $ company, but 10 days sounds like enough time to get everyone on the same page, especially when you know that you fucked up at the beginning.
for me it would be first thing to contact my marketing team "hi people, you know that assimilation and coin swap that we planed, and prepared posts for it, it is a NO GO, i repeat NO GO!"

Posted using Partiko Android

On the one hand, Steemit, Inc. might only represent 1% of his portfolio. But on the other hand, there seems to be some kind of strategic value he places on the acquisition. Perhaps the acquisition is currently serving its intended purpose: The Overshadow Voice Theory. Hopefully, once that goal has been accomplished, marketing will get and understand the new memo.

in a weird conspiracy theory i thought that he is doing this on purpose. Like every marketing is a good marketing, and as we know, steemians are really active only when we are pissed off at something or on someone :) and this 10 days we were like "yea we work with tron, fuck you tron, steem is not steemit, yea steem and tron best buddies, fuck you and your steemtron we don't want it"... and yes non of us talks about Voice

希望这次能很好地解决,Tron与Steemit能更好的协作,早日将SMTs推出市场,释放分布式团队的力量。

Hi there, Justin. We, at cervantes, are glad to see your quick and positive reaction to our protective fork last night. We are also willing to collaborate with Tron to build bridges between the two Blockchain / Communities. Regarding logistics, as you know, Steem Witnesses are truly decentraliced and live around the globe. Because of that, the most efficient way to meet should be via some online video or audio conferencing system.
Looking forward to this open and productive discussion.

Witness cervantes.

Awesome news! I'm glad to hear that you have an active interest in our community and are taking positive steps for the development of our future. Best wishes.

Fast and appropriate response. Communication is key.

Welcome to our toxic little corner of the internet where your stake will be seized if you don't bow down to our power-tripping Discord overlords, I'm looking forward to your next move.

Thank your for responding fast and in a positive manner. This meeting is very needed to clarify several points.

Being from Australia, attending the meeting will be difficult due to timezones, however I will be there if my rank doesn’t fluctuate too much and if time allow.

I find this letter very hard to read. Not only the way sentences are build but also the things you mention. To be honest I have no idea what you are talking about.
Perhaps you can keep it a bit simpler for stupid steemians like me?

I am a bit tired of all changes and the huge lack of explanations.
Steemit, Steem, Steemit, New Steemit and now Steemit 2.0?
Where was the 1.0?

I wish you all the luck with your platform. I hope it was worth the investment.
💕

I would recommend one Town Hall voice meeting on Discord followed by rolling discussions in the Steemit Inc Slack where most witnesses and stakeholders involved in governance of Steem already are.

Nice to hear from you again @justinsunsteemit. In my comment on your first post, I wrote:

"... there is a universal truth about our human nature! We do not handle communication voids well. In the absence of the requested good, clear and consistent communication, the resulting void will be filled. Quickly. And you can rest assured, it is very unlikely to be filled in a positive, constructive manner."

Surprise, surprise. 10 days later, we hear from you again. Under what circumstances? While making no claims to being clairvoyant, I would suggest the void you left has been filled ...

To what end? Do you believe it was filled "in a positive, constructive manner?" Those of us who have been working long and hard to add value to our Steem blockchain are looking forward to learning the answer. At the earliest opportunity. Please. And thank you ...

Good question.

Thank you for sharing link to your comment with me @roleerob.

It's hard not to agree with you, that lack of communication creates void which probably will be filled with fear and hostile behaviours. I'm seriously glad that Justin seem to care more about reaching out to steem community than Ned ever did.

One problem I see is the fact, that many power users are openly hostile and very agressive towards Justin and spreading fear within our community. So many oeople do not seem to be willing to give him a chance. Lack of patience is huge problem here.

I'm myself still quite optimistic.
ps. Please consider posting next time within project.hope HIVE if your topic is related to technology, blockchain, AI, economy, business etc. It would help me with your content discovery.

The young Mr. Sun's decision (or indecision?) to leave a communication void @crypto.piotr was most definitely filled. As I said it would, having been "through the wars" and having lived through many instances where this remarkably common mistake was made ...

Whether you are a "fan" of the resulting Softfork 22.2 decision is now a moot point. Trust is an essential element in a mutually beneficial business transaction. How do you think that is going so far?

Hi again @roleerob

How do you think that is going so far?

I'm seriously terrified while seeing conflict between Justin and witnesses unfolding :/

ps.
Can I ask you for little favour? I joined contest called "Community of the week" with project I manage and I would be grateful if you could RESTEEM it and help me get some exposure and drop some encouraging comment :)

Link to my post: on steemit or on steempeak

Thanks :)
Yours, Piotr

I've just captured all of my thoughts on this unfolding "war" on my "Minority Report ..." post @crypto.piotr. No time to go into this further, but this post will answer your question.

Way behind on way too many things "out there" to spend any more time "in here." I may be back tomorrow to see what else is going on, including maybe having time to look at your post.

The thing to start with would be by a full notice across ALL Tron outlets and exchanges that there WILL NOT BE a token swap. Period

@justinsunsteemit

You PR marketing machine either seems to still be incorrect, or you are the one that isn't saying the truth. Can you please respond and clear up: is there going to be a token swap or not?

Also, Steem has less than 2 million accounts that exist on the blockchain. 20 million is a horribly inaccurate estimate.

Thanks for fucking everything up @justinsunsteemit, you can go fuck yourself now 👋🏼😄🖕🏼 Maybe you can sell to Craig Wright now

It’s great to see a positive post like this, however it still does not answer the question on everyone’s mind, is Steemit going to migrate over to Tron?

We were told in an AMA that there would be no major changes for now. But since then I have seen no end of conflicting posts from YouTube to Twitter to Steemit and even TRONLINK.

I am sure this is just a little miss communication, and that @justinsunsteemit and/or Tron will be able to provide the Steemit community with a road map soon to provide absolute clarity on steemit’s direction moving forward.

I wish you and the whole Steem community an awesome day!

Thanks for the update. I think needs nothing more than marketing. It's a great blockchain and shouldn't be bastardized into another form. I don't remember having ever been interested in Tron as an investment or a community to hang out it but Steem and Steemit is different. Other than marketing its tough to see any major drawbacks that can't be worked through. It's great that you're here just dont crush our throats with your boot and all should be fine.

Damn, that was a quick response... LOL

looooooooooool ☺

6th of march seems a bit of a short amount of time to organize this for people outside the US.

its all happening
