Of course everyone knows and understands the saying "from prison and from money do not renounce." I'm sure that most likely you understand the meaning of it. At first glance, the meaning is not difficult to understand, everyone can be in this situation. Here is a saying and warns.
But, I think that the meaning of this saying absolutely has a different meaning, and perhaps as a second one on a par with the former. If you once again carefully read, think and compare with your accumulated life experience, you should see what I have. Namely.
It seems to me that the meaning is quite different. And prison or duty are those places or conditions from which it is impossible to get out, well, at least, unless you run away. No one will save you, there is no such decision. It's not the same as falling into a pit. It's only possible to depart. That's what the proverb warns us, so that we are vigilant and do not bring our affairs to such a state. Do not renounce, you will not get out. This can not be overcome.
