The steemit account has 50% of the supply of STEEM and it's fixed, we are currently in the distribution stage, where 500 million of steem will be distributed for the 1st year and than we will continue to increase by 100% per year.... So amount of users doesn't make them "print more money", that's completely false...
Idk if he said it or not, those are facts not "made up" stuff. We are currently almost half way trough the distribution phase (300921603 STEEM currently both liquid and vested and growing as I write...), the 1st year the system will create 500000000 STEEM and than will continue to inflate it at 100% per year, but every 3 years something happens but I forgot what.... :/
User base doesn't affect this in any way, the rewards pool is connected with the steem supply and grows with it.
The current Rewards supply at the moment is: 75437 Steem.
Sure it does, where do you think the money comes from when people sign up or vote?

It might be false but that was a said by @dan in an earlier post or comment. Don't remember where exactly I read it but he said it.
