Steemit Deleted Some of my Old Articles? - Censorship on Steemit? What is Going on Here?

in #steemit5 years ago (edited)

It has come to my attention that at least four of my old articles have been taken down. I never received any notification about this and I am rather unhappy, given that this appears to only have two possible explanations. Either 1. these were taken down for some reason and Steemit has abandoned freedom of speech without even telling me, or 2. there is always a risk that older articles on Steemit will disappear for some reason, again without notification. Both of these possibilities are deeply disturbing to me. For what it is worth, here are the four articles:

https://steemit.com/antifa/@pirateofthedtube/the-dumbest-argument-for-antifa

Perhaps fittingly, I found out that these were taken down because I was looking for old articles of mine to repost on Publish0x, another blogging site that pays in cryptos. (For what it's worth, you can join Publish0x here: https://www.publish0x.com/?a=pnel78MdKB and follow my account here: https://www.publish0x.com/left-antisjw)

Could be a node issue.

I can see those just fine.

Thank you for letting me know! This is what I'm seeing for the first one, for example.

If it works for other people that is significantly less upsetting at least. I'd rather have it be a technical issue that a censorship one.

SteemIt (the website) never had freedom of speech. Steem (the blockchain) has.
