Hello Everybody!
I don't usually post on social media to demonstrate any kind of help I may offer to my fellow humans, and I definitely never ask for any donations, but this is beyond my powers and pride. I saw this morning with my own eyes the disaster the fire left back in Kineta and I decided to put aside my anger for the filthy politicians of this country and do all I can to help instead of ranting for what happened.
It's moments like this I wish I was a millionaire to help as many humans as possible, but unfortunately I am not and I have so many responsibilities and other people to look after. Regardless, I will donate 50 Euros from my own pocket to buy medications such as antiseptics, burning creams, clothing toiletries such as baby wipes, pads, toothbrushes and so on, but as you can easily understand, the more money we gather, the more people (and especially children/the elderly) we will help.
Please donate whatever you can (Steem or SBD are welcome), vote and resteem this post until Friday morning (Greek time) and I promise to take photos and post all the material and receipts of the shopping I do for the sufferers.
I am sure we are all sad (especially the Greeks) and some of us mad with our irresponsible authorities, but let's put our emotions aside for a moment and help as much as we can with actions. It's not time to be angry right now (even though I am); it's time to be generous and help!

I can't really tell from your post how to donate. My most liquid asset to use to donate would be bitUSD, bitcoin or bitshares. As you know, powering down with steem takes time.

Your vote and resteem is helping a lot already, but if you're interested in offering more, tomorrow noon me and @mr-phoenix plan to go do shopping with our money for the sufferers. You can join us (if you have the time that is) or we can arrange to meet at some point and give us the money you want to contribute.
But I still don't understand how I could hep you with the shopping if my assets are in bitshares, bitUSD and bitcoin?
I want to help. I have gym until about 12:30pm, but would like to be involved after that. Where can I meet you guys?
In this case I am afraid that I have to be like those hotels or stores that go like : "Sorry, we only accept cash, visa or mastercard" lol.

I already bought a few hundred euro worth of supplies and medicine yesterday and dropped it off at my local collection center. Was thinking of doing something similar to this as well but you got there first... No point splitting efforts. Upvoting and resteeming

I would happily have donated, but it is already past noon on Friday. Also, The Red Cross has proven itself to be a dishonest group who often do not pass on the money and articles people provide to help specific needs (we saw that happen in the flooding in the USA last year).
Maybe we need a few Steemit Greeks to get together and form a charity group - I personally prefer to trust people I know or know of. There are some well known names in greek-trail I would trust (you are included).
If you do another drive like this one, please let me know (make a list of names as 'mentions').

You are welcome. I believe that the Red Cross in Greece is very credible but there are many choices and bank accounts where you can deposit money. I will find the best one when the time comes ;)
